You started off this series by saying you would make a serious effort to distinguish between the facts of what these myths say and the ways in which they have been interpreted.
I'm honestly not seeing that distinction play out, especially in the Adam/Eve account. There's actually a lot of textual evidence in that passage of Genesis that pushes back against an attempt to put the blame on Eve.
Genesis 3: 6 says that Adam was with Eve during the deception. Then, when Adam tries to put the blame on Eve for his sin, God doesn't buy it and curses him too. Furthermore, unlike Eve's curse, Adam's curse has effects that extend beyond himself. In Gen 3: 17, God says, -Cursed be the ground because of you. - (Adam's own name is a play on the word ground: 'adam vs. 'adama.
There certainly are interpretations out there that try to blame Eve. But again, some important parts of the text itself push back against that interpretation. and there are many other interpretations out there that have quite a bit more balance.
Bottom line. I think you're falling short in terms of distinguishing between the facts of what these myths say, and what interpretations are out there.

i would just like to add my 2 cents here as a Christian the 2 verses of Romans 5: 12 and 1 Corinthians 15: 21:
Romans 5: 12 - Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people.
1 Corinthians 15: 21 - For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. -.
It could easily have been said that -everything is the women/Eve's fault-, but no, just as Adam is the head of the family, what happened was his responsibility (or fault) and it was not simply blamed on Eve.

You-ve interpreted these myths in a way that appeals to feminist rhetoric. Rather than spinning the long story of men subjugating women, you could easily argue that women and men had different but complimentary roles in the face of an oppressive natural world. Furthermore that women-s suffering is due to men somehow and you even slip in the idea of gender fluidity being progressive yet there is no scientific basis for this. You claimed you wouldn-t do this in the introductory episode but it-s still a good series, overall, just some thoughts.

Hi Bro, The reason I don't believe in other religions because they allow to eat non veg even their god used to eat it. In Sanatana (Hinduism) God is nature and nature don't do partiality with anyone so do go. We worship nature like rivers, tree, stone and the great human. I hate those people who say animals are part of food cycle, ok they are but not for human. Basics of sanatana are sympathy, love and truth. If there is no sympathy for living things, religion can't exist. Please make a video on religion and non veg.

Riiight, so bunch of dudes, who barely acquired self-consciousness, are making elaborate stories just to oppress women. Thousands of years ago. In thousands of places around the world. often INDEPENDENTLY! World wide male conspiracy, of course - totally makes sense! There is no way those stories reflect the social organization related heuristics that have undergone Darwinian selection across generations - that would be too misogynistic!

9: 05 no? Genesis clearly implies they could've been immortal if they ate from the tree of life at any point, hence why the gods (early Judaism was likely henotheistic) worry about Adam and Eve eating from it after they've eaten from the tree of knowledge. What they do is simply banish them before they can become immortal. Therefore they never had any immortality they lost, they simply lost the chance to obtain it.

Isn't it your own interpretation that the woman were doing wrong? It just depends on from which perspective you are looking and what you feel like is the most important factor in coming to end result. I'd say it's the man that hasn't taken his responsibilty and is at fault because of that. That doesn't mean the woman isn't also at fault. The story has two sides and both should do their part

Why do they keep saying that there's 2creation stories. No there is two stories of the same things to the second story says (before there was seed in the ground )or the second day he created a special man then continued to create the rest and then a general male and female then finding no help MEET for the special man. he created one from Adam s rib. Read the book for your self people

He could have simply and truthfully said they were disobedient to God and so xyz followed; in doing so he'd have avoided offending his Christian viewers. Not very religiously sensitive is he? He then goes on a feminist rant likely to satisfy the group think mob mentality and the cultural narrative of our time. How is this a crash course and not simply an indoctrination.

there is only one thing i do not agree with and it is the Adam and Eve. There was a serpent that was evil since a former god follower rebelled. The serpent told lies to eve anout how good the fruit is. Yes, it was Eve's decision but it sounds a little weird in my opinion. I do understand that this video is on man and women with creation. i do love this series though!
