Realised nobody took notes but I had to.
1- STOP MULTI-TASKING, so you can focus on that cute cat more intensely. Give at least 20-30 focus on before switch.
2- HAVE A STUDY/WORK ENVIRONMENT, CREATE A ZONE JUST FOR THAT. (pulm face while watching at dorm)
3- HAVE ONLY WHAT YOU NEED FOR STUDY OR WORK
4- TURN OFF YOUR DEVICES AND PLAN THE TIME YOU NEED THEM, for research and stuff
5- LEARN TO RESIST CRAVINGS FOR WATCHING CAT VIDEOS. attention muscles become stronger every time you manage.
6- USE APPLICATIONS TO FOCUS like coldturkey, StayFocusd or Forest (I use last one it's really lovely. They're useful when studying on computer or with phone.
7- PLAN YOUR BREAKS. know when you're having a rest and take a little walk, eat etc.
8- TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF to take of your brain; sleep enough, eat healthy and exercize a little everyday. (duh)

Yeah, but what I am supposed to do if I have legitimately like 5-7 hours worth of intense-thinking work? I can only get my brain to work for like 4 hours before my body needs to move. I take breaks every 30-1 hour, but eventually I just can-t. And I make schedules but schedules make me realize that there-s NO time in the day between exercise, errands, groceries, eating, cooking, cleaning, other chores, and then like all the stuff I have to get done. It-s like I-d have to cut out eating and any other chores to get everything I have done!

As you state, your brain cannot do two things at once. You cannot read and listen at the same time, yet this video provides simultaneous opportunities to read and listen.

I find working in complete silence makes me focus more but, I have a big family and I can-t drive so I sometimes pay my sister to leave our shared room.
