Defense Against the Dark Arts of Influence: Crash Course Business Soft Skills #2 Amici: It depends upon your audience though, this -Confidence - Praising - Optimistic- can in the wrong crowd and in the wrong culture be treated as -Arrogant - Asslicking - Out of Touch With Reality-. For instance, the Japanese have a business culture based on humility, where the first two at least may be misinterpreted. Here in Norway meanwhile we can be a very sceptic people, so it's important to show nuance and balance, or even if you're going all in then do so with self-awareness about yourself and how -ridiculous- you may sound. We're historically and in general a people unimpressed by charismatic figures, due to strong traditions of individualism.

-If you're freaked, peppery spray first, apologize later-
Also, get brought up on assault charges later. It is this type of -my comfort trumps yours- nonsense that is why so many of my generation don't make it in business. They certainly won't if they go around a white-shoe finance firm saying things like -Black Girl Magic- or -White Man Confidence-. Please, go into your business job and tell someone that. It'll be your last day.
Get your act together, Crash Course. You're excellent at history and the sciences, but I think you know little of the business world.

Thanks! I didn't know race was so important in a free market but I'll definitely be on the lookout. It takes someone of integrity to denounce an entire race and gatekeep confidence based on skin color. Just wait til the negotiations video where you learn you can only ask for a raise if you're a woman or non-white person. Blatant racism from a biased and untrustworthy group. Be better.

Such a great course; I-m on a re-watch of it. CrashCourse and Evelyn are such an ideal partnership!
Very clear that some of the commenters spend very little time on the internet/outside of their homes.

4: 10 - Please stop make assumptions linking personallity to skin color, like -white man confidence-, it just helps to built a racist mindset overall and don't serve any propose for the overall video.

Really do enjoy the topics and the delivery of the message. However, I do not appreciate the settle racist side-jokes. You're better than this! Delivery through professional language speaks louder
