I have built over 100 transmissions, I never had the rev gear engage like that, Maybe a European car? But the video is the best I have seen explaining a manual trans.

A similar video on automatic cars would be interesting as well, you find a lot of videos on manual but relatively few on automatic transmissions (really going into detail)

Amazing! Can you do semi-automatic transmission next? I think that's what it's called. It's those scooters or cars which have no clutch buth are able to change gears.

wait, so you have to press the transmission first before you change the gear? i mean the timing always has be in sync with the throttle right?
