i don't tell myself i'm not scared, i accept it as a fact, and i bully myself for being scared to distract myself from being scared, because it's always something i know could never happen
there are no haunted, golden animatronics, there are no tall, faceless tentacle monsters, there is no serial murderer who carved his own face, there is no girl in the gap ready to drag me to hell or another dimension, there's just me and my family and some motherf---ing ants

1: 38 i don't have to worry 'bout that, thankfully
i have a fan on 24/7, and it's on my bed, almost right next to my head, + 5 siblings who don't care about bedtime and a snoring aunty right beneath me(we share a bunkbed, i'm on top) so i never run out of white noise, although all except the fan are often absent.

it's odd, none of these creepy pastas are scary to me. I can watch these before bed, and still go to sleep. but oddly, one of the most basic stories I've ever heard is the one that actually got me, and kept me from sleeping for a night. for I could never sleep, so said the Rake.
