Also if the USA is concerned about Indias state of democracy why is it inviting our PM Mr. Modi to a state visit who has become a PM by the same process of democracy like all the PMs before him.
Foolish politicians like Rahul Gandhi or Pappu are nothing more than sore loosers who cant win on merit so blame the winner with any hypothetical reason they can think of at that point.

Thank you for the detailed information about the central vista project. But I think no one can judge India by sitting in another country and reading -American biased research- and calling it a partly democratic country.
It is a free democracy and is now the fastest-growing one in the whole world! Maybe that-s not easy to digest for many. India needs a new look and strength to uplift the morale of Indians. There is already a 25 y long mega 880 Lac crore (-10 tn $) infra/logistics development plan underway. This will include doubling the NH & Expressways, rail tracks, elevated tracks, bullet train projects, metro rail projects, waterways, increasing port numbers and volumes, inland ports etc. By
2047 there will be more than 1500 cities with population > 1 Lac, so there is still so much to develop -

Its not government project rather current PM's ambition to erase those old buildings from history of India. This project could have been made in a new location but no he wants to erase past and build his own new history. Rather giving importantance to development and economy he is on a spending mission on this short of project where his name could be sealed for whole history

Flooding towns and cities need proper drainage, rivers have to be cleaned, people wages must be increased and people should be provided with work. When there was deficit budget people had no support from Govt. When there is enough budget to make people's lives better, why is it wasted to demolish living building.
