3D Printing Beginners Guide (Hardware) - 380 DIY RepRap Prusa I3 Old, : Feb. 2018---Even though this may be considered an old video, it's been helpful to me and thank you for posting it. However, some questions: just what is your experience in putting this thing together? You know how guys joke about women who can burn water? I'm the male equivalent when it come to technology. and then again, maybe it's because I'm 64? So I know what it was like with NO internet, cell phones, microwaves, etc, etc, etc. So my question is, if I buy a DIY kit to save money, should I be able to put it together?

Why did YouTube just recommend me this in 2020? My printer has so little problems it's not even funny. When I look at this stone age technology I want to cry. They didn't have Buildtak. They didn't have BLTouch/3D touch. They didn't have good hotends and extruders. They didn't have Marlin 1. 9. This is such a stone age they couldn't figure out to put X endstop switch on the X carriage or on the left Z carriage!

I made my own 3d printer, built from 0 with my design and that glass over the hotbed works fantastic. I even try a print without whiping the glass, put my fingers on the printed area and it sticks very well. Now I print only on a glass piece, I whipe it with acetone before and everything it's perfect

just letting anyone know watching this today that this video is 3 years old. 3d printer kits have gotten much better, easier and more reliable. This kit can be bought nowadays for less than 200 dollars which really goes to show how far 3d printing has come.

As you said for more 3D printer videos, press like button. I have done and requesting you to make a video in which we can make a 3d printer without using readymade boards like CNC shield instead of ULN2003 ICs, thank you with honours

It has been 3 years since I bought this. Really frustrating machine but I must be thankful, I've learned a lot how 3d printing work with this because it's all manual machine and easy to modify unlike today's 3d machine which has the limit.

The anet A8 I built (another i3 clone) worked like a dream, and works damn well. Should give one of those a try. But then again, it's an i3 clone, so what's the point.
