9: 34 bad technique. Liquid flux and a flat tip makes it easy instead of using huge amounts of solder and wick. Your technique could lift pads easier or damage the component especially in terms of a person trying to learn how to solder QFP components.

Would a soldering iron alone be enough to repair a micro usb on an old portable charger
i wouldn't mind purchasing a new, however, the one I currently have is a limited edition pokemon go version and I can't find the same one anywhere =(

I'm getting into soldering now and just bought a decent station/hot air gun setup. I purchased the 60/40 lead/tin solder. Should I use another solder? Is there a way I should store the solder so it doesn't ruin fast?

Another helpful tip is to use fine solder (around 0. 2mm iirc. This can give you more control with how you apply the solder. I tend to use 0. 6mm for general THT, and something smaller for SMD.

I don't like to drag my solder wick, sometimes I damage the PCB when dragging the wick. What is your technique to prevent damage to PCB from solder wick?

GreatScott! How is it that the molten solder sticks neatly to the pads at 09: 12? Does it come with practice or are the pads magnetic)?

4: 20 regarding simple solder lines you should mention that saving you THT off cut leads gives you the perfect material to form these lines.
