According to the voice synthesis module's manual, you need to choose serial port 1 using the jumpers (which you have already done right in the video. Then refer to section 2. 3 to exit the default serial passthrough mode by using any of the two methods: 2. 3. 1, pull-down pin PB2/ES0 for 50ms-2s; 2. 3. 2, send +++ to it (the module will return a if it received that correctly, send a in under 1 second (the module will return OK, it will fail if you took longer than 1 sec to send the a.

the hot bed is ok, but the shipping killed the deal, they charge very high shipping for this kind of heat bed products. if it's free shipping, then the price is very high. another problem is the MCU/software/controller is very weak. the display is also bad. so finally I ended up making my own. the most difficult part is to mount the heating element to the aluminum bed, the second big problem is how to mount the heat bed to the base. normal people can't do a lot of metal work /sheet metal work at home.

The coil for the vap H H H rosin mist dispenser, looks just like any other vape pen coil (and looks like a 510 thread. Should be replaceable and perhaps even used in other vape pens. (even the turning on sequence is like most off brand vape pens.
The included rosin is only to detect defective components? or is it also flux? (havent had any luck importing rosin/flux)

It is a really common technique really, to find short in cell phone by using heat. At least here in Indonesia. It's a bit brutal sometimes, lol, injecting 12v to phone. But that's kinda the way we can fix a phone sometime because the manufacturer wont give us schematic.
Other than that fancy resin dispenser, you can use ethanol, IPA, or even receipt from ATM.

for fast charging have you used the power brick from MI? also you shall notice for apple if you make any custom usb type C chargeing you need a pullup resistor in some wires for enabling fast charging. I guess if you had one MI company phone with MI company fast charge adapter it might work

These type of video series are gems, they are very integretable to any projects, for example the first product AI recognizable camera. As of now, I did create my own facial recognization system, modularity would be a lot helpful: ) Thanks GS!

For everybody that likes the rosin dispenser but doesn't want their board sticky from it, you can simply use an air duster can upside down to freeze your board and reveal the faulty component the same way

13: 28 actually you can try to move the jumpers on the other position, I think it is connected by default to extarnal serial port(RX1, TX1) and u need to switch to internal one( RX0, TX0)

glad to see the rosin dispenser only other person iv seen using one is northbridgefix, iv been using one for couple years now and cheaper then a infrared camera while still working as good.

there is a much better technique to find hotspots on a board which doesn't involve custom hardware and inhaling flux fumes, and that's just spraying isopropyl alcohol on your pcb

06: 45 never heard before - + The Repairman from NorthridgeFix does use similar device since some years ago. very good for finding defective shorted ceramic capacitors.

For the speech synthesis device, you might try a Null Modem cable. Serial communication is notoriously confusing, dealing with both DTE and DCE devices.
