I will show you my new lab/workshop. Finally the house project was finished and it was time to move; but how to set up the new lab? Well, during the last 6 months I prepared it and now turned it into my ideal work space. I want to share with you how exactly I did it so that you might get inspired to improve your own lab/workshop; Maker: Your workshop is amazing, and also that big softbox light. In my workshop I have a sloping and very low ceiling as it is directly under the roof, so lighting for video is really complicated. Has someone found solution to evenly light up a room like that?

Well done, that looks like a very nice place to work. it does take a while to get it right, and your needs change over time, but having a workspace that is made your style and reach is important for work flow and efficiency. It helps that it's also a nice place to be, and your new lab looks great. I have a small work room with Ikea kallax to the right and to the left of my bench and that works very well for my needs: I have modules that fit the shelves for different things, and they're easy to swap in and out.
I'm a little concerned about the point loads on the screws holding up your printed storage units, as the boards with the keyholes look a bit light for the job: it's hard to tell without feeling the loaded weight and your choice of material though, so it's just an observation. If you do feel it needs reinforcing then a support strip screwed to the wall under the unit could take most of the weight without adding a lot of visual clutter.
I'm looking forward to some more projects from your workshop now, as you have great ideas and a fine eye for detail that I think will scale well. Thanks!

My small home based repair shop grew so fast that I could not keep up with the finishing touches that should be a must. like insulation and wall paneling. I was not prepared for that type of demand. Parts storage is always a huge issue. Your workshop is a dream, and mine is a disaster(very cluttered. But the scale of projects that you do verses mine are quite different. Always enjoy your creativity with everything you show us on your videos. Keep up the great work.

I'm building one too! I have a reasonable electronics knowledge but I think it's good enough for my age (15 years old. I'm struggling with expensive tools like oscilloscopes. My parents won't help me buy stuff for myself, but I'm slowly saving up money to get an oscilloscope and other things. A local hardware store sold me some component drawers and I'm almost done building up my budget lab. I very much enjoyed the video!

Given the ease you could've added compartments to those draws I would have definitely kept the different parts separate. I've made the mistake of binning parts together in the past and you quickly realise just how often you really do need a particular part and how much of a pain it is to have to go through an entire bin to find it.

Having built more than one, and disassembled them. Getting the space to work or you can really take some thinking about and reshuffling. Great video for helping with the layout of a decent workshop-lab. Lighting is a key area avoid flicker and have some that you can bring really close to the work area. 2x

I'm also in the process of making the workshop in which I make my electronics videos always better, but the main problem is always the the space is really small and the ceiling is low, so lighting up the space for video is a nightmare!

This was a very german video: D But I love it, always have to get my stuff out of a cabinet when I want to tinker and afterwards clean up everything again (to less space. I would do. thing. for a lab like this

Fantastic work, dude! Your lab and workshop both look amazing!
Mine is divided as well, but it's a freaking mess right now. I hope I can organize it soon.
Anyway, stay safe there with your family!

06: 56 wow, that is dedication to 3D printed storage! With how nice your storage wall looks. I might have to go that route instead of the little plastic boxes next time.

If I had a workshop like that, I wouldn't leave that room in weeks. Pretty much what I'd make if I had the space to
Great job from the Great Scott

This is so much effort it hurts me to watch. Its something I would love to do, but am so lazy that I have the shitty component boxes from Bauhaus: D
