The Top-Selling Cars in Every Decade (1920s - 2020s) - History By the Decade - History Eric: Even though a Tesla (new one) has a 300 mile range. you better not turn the radio, A/C, and headlights on. because your range will resolve rapidly. Oh and forget about luggage.
Compare the Basic cost of an electric vehicle. how much it cost to Charge it. the Insurance and ANY Repairs. to a high mileage 4 cylinder, like a Honda or a Subaru.
Unless you have a whole lot of money burning a hole in your pocket, or some sort of status symbol. then knock yourself out. lol

-8: 30 mark the Ford 4. 0L V-6 on the Ford Explorer is mentioned as having a mere 155 hp, which I thought was a typo, until I researched it and it's true. Generally a 4. 0 L = 244 cubic inch motor should produce 244 bhp (1 hp / in3 for naturally aspirated engines) but it seems the designers made this engine to be a high torque engine (it produced a decent 225 ft-lbs torque) but a small horsepower engine by design. The Ford Explorer was thus under-powered in hp by design.

The cars nominated for 2010-2020 was horrible. When the Camaro came out in 2010 it was all the rage not the Tesla model S and absolutely not one cared about the Bolt. Their trying to prop up electric for its -innovation- but this is SUPPOSED to be most popular cars for every decade.

It is amazing to me that so many applaud the modern hybrid cars. There were a handful of 80s cars that got 45 to almost 70 mpg, much more efficient than these modern misers.

That-s a 1972 cutlass, not a 76. Also, what-s weird is that in 1972 cutlass was GMs best selling model. Maybe they messed up on this one.

How could you possibly discuss the most popular, important and iconic cars of the 1960s and ignore the Ford Mustang? Ridiculous.

Do your own research ford wasnt even top 5 first cars made they always sugar coat 1st with other extra words

Hmm. the '60s were the MUSCLE CAR decade, but not a '60s GTO, 442, Barracuda, Mustang or Camaro in the story?

Individuality in automobiles is a time gone by. They all look the same, can't tell one from another. Sad
