A virtual tour around Colosseum, as it was in ancient times of Rome. The detailed 3D reconstruction allows you to explore surrounding buildings as well, like temple of Venus and Roma, Ludus Magnus, baths of Trajan, built upon the former Domus Aurea of Nero. Here is the 3rd video trailer, illustrating our project dedicated to virtual reconstruction of the whole center of ancient Rome city as it was in IV CE. Our goal is to create the most detailed, accurate and extensive 3D reconstruction of Eternal City

Simply incredible! There’s no words to describe the work you are doing in this video and all your others. Certainly of world heritage status. You even have birds flying and the tremendous fountains of Ancient Rome. I understand that nearly 40 million gallons of water came into Rome via the viaducts into towers and that was enough pressure to feed the city. (There’s about. 5 psi per foot of height. You have created a work of art indeed and portrays how unbelievably grand and a work of art itself the city was so long ago. Just saying thank you for your work doesn’t do you any justice, but thank you!

This is amazing. To think this beauty was accompanied by great barbarism and death. Too bad they let their culture degenerate into immorality, greed and self-destruction, no doubt helped a great deal by the government and society influencers of the time.

Remember, all this was lost - and the population fell from a million to 50, 000, no more than 100, 000 for over 1, 000 years. The reason all was lost is that the Western Roman Empire could not defend itself militarily anymore. A lesson there.

Beautiful indeed. But adding the reality back then with street markets people all kind, vendors, animals, it took away the splendor. still the architecture was undeniable beautiful, these Emperors knew about $$ spend in infrastructure for sure!

Just checking to see if you are aware that there is a 4 minute Ad to watch before being able to view your awesome video that is probably turning a lot of views away. Not sure if you know that it is that long. Great work though. Thanks!

Coliseum just a killing field. for entertainment. Christian's covered in pitch tied to a stake set on fire. Lions tigers bears ripping people apart. galdiators fighting to the death. that's show biz.

I love how they had patios on the first floor that were enclosed with decorative fencing. We should bring this back given rising sea levels instead of wondering why our houses flood everytime it rains.

This ancient city puts to shame most 21st century cities. It was a stunning city. I mean you lived well even if you were poor, as long as you were a free roman and not a slave.
reply

The guy who comments that much of this was build by the use of slave labor works 12 hours a day hitting a button, buys shit on amazon for existencial relief and doesn't build colosseums.
reply

It's crazy to think how this is centuries before the dark/middle ages. Looking at how advanced the Romans were you would think those time periods came before the Romans.

I had one wish when my time expires give me a time machine so that I could visit the history of the earth. especially the time of the Roman history.

Beautiful reconstructions of the absolutely amazing architecture of a sadly lost world. Only one criticism; why did the footage look 'foggy' at times
reply

What a wonderful time and place to be alive.
Sure, there were problems and it eventually fell under its own weight, but golly what scenery!

It's amazing how so much closer ancient Rome feels compared to for example Egyptian and Biblical history. All because it was so well documented.

With treasury stolen from Gaul, Germania, Brittania, Illyria, Middle East, Egypt and free labor of slaves you can built anything.

Thanks to those filthy barbarians most of this is gone. Thanks Alaric you donkey.
Oh and thank you Nero as well you fat boy.

Those were the days, before all that cluttered advertising with huge billboards, banners, posters, giant pole signs, scammers.

Its marvelous! But I would like to see the buildings and sculptures on colours. Rome wasn't white
reply

Looks so much better without 1000's of cars all over the place. No parking garages either.

Would be helpful if a translation of the building name was in English in brackets.

Awesome video. Could there be information on how the fountains received the water.
