The U. S. government granted independence to the Philippines on July 4, 1946. In accordance with the Philippine Independence Act (more popularly known as the TydingsMcDuffie Act, President Harry S. Truman issued Proclamation 2695 of July 4, 1946 officially recognizing the independence of the Philippines.

I remember talking with American fellows before few years about their war and genocide the did in Philippines and almost no one knew anything about it. Especially when I said how the more or less 500. 000 Filipino murdered (or starved) by USA democracy spreaders they thought I was talking about Chinese CCP propaganda. All countries try to hide their crimes but Americans are in another level they don't hide their crimes but entire wars!
