Explore the science behind how gas masks work, and how the technology protects us from airborne threats and pollutants. -- You might think of gas masks as clunky military-looking devices. But in the near future, we may need to rely on these filters as part of our everyday lives. In addition to emerging diseases, wildfire frequency has more than tripled, and climate change has increased toxic ground level ozone. So how do these masks work, and can they protect us from airborne threats George Zaidan investigates.

Best thing to help the environment, quit trying!
The more people try the worse it gets because people don't do their damn research
Help the environment, get all electric everything. Except all electric is worse because now your burning coal instead of natural gas and now you have to burn more of it
Safe forests and prevent fires, now theres all this dead bush that will eventually cause a huge fire that can't be put out
Lets make cars all electric, but not do any work on the electrical infrastructure (I'm looking at California here) now your constantly starting electrical fires because you have transformers that are 50 years old
The best thing you can do is RESEARCH
The next best thing you can do is NOTHING!
Doing something without doing any research is WAY WAY WAY Worse than doing nothing at all

3: 07 - Someone needs to tell TED that the verb agrees with the subject, so Our best chance. are activated carbon masks is wrong. It's IS carbon masks. The biggest herd is the horses is correct, and The horses ARE the biggest herd is also correct. But The biggest herd are the horses and The horses is the biggest herd are incorrect.

Well whoever understand medicine knows that this video is more propaganda one, than informative ones. Please go back to Informative/fact ones and don't speculate condition or future.

More climate change yawn. more mask up because it works. ugh. The truth could kick you liberal sheep in the teeth and yet you would still keep regurgitating that cud.

Knowing we have to use gas masks for the rest of humanity since the 1st world war seems daunting as it just shows how we are always on the brink of death.

I definitely recommend the poem, Dulce et Decorum Est, by Wilfred Owen, which depicts the haunting and horror of chemical warfare in WWI.

In less than a century we'll see the birth of a generation that will be just as used to wearing masks outside as Gen Z is to using mobile phones.

I love how you've paid attention to even the smallest details, like accurately depicting the type of bond in each molecule.

Wildfire Frequency and Area of Land Burned are not the same thing. 0: 35 The area of land burned by wildfires is decreasing!
