On March 15th, 44 BCE, Roman dictator Julius Caesar was assassinated by a group of about 60 of his own senators. Why did these self-titled Liberators want him dead? And why did Brutus, whose own life had been saved by Caesar, join in the plot? Kathryn Tempest investigates the personal and political assassination of Julius Caesar. Lesson by Kathryn Tempest

We've seen the overthrowing of a leader or govt believed to hold too much power only to end up w/ a far worse situation time & again. This is 1 of a few reasons Communist revolutions lead to death & prolonged misery. The system itself is perfectly setup to allow unchecked authoritarian leadership to step in while simultaneously removing the abilities of the common ppl to revolt through its top down oversight & control, leading to the exact opposite of the original intention.

My father died on this floor. Right there. Stabbed 27 times! Butchered! By men he called his friends. Who will tell me that is not murder? Who will tell my legions, who love Caesar as I do, that this is not murder!

I'm a pretty big fan of the Shakespeare version and I wanted a chance to make sure the real Brutus was not totally terrible.
What I got was a lot of angst fuel so thank you

Didn't wanna leave him a chance, huh? Did you feel anger? Hate? He was bleeding, begging you for mercy, but you stabbed him, again and again and again!

Funny thing is, he was killed by Gaius Cassius Longinus, with a spear. The Longinus Spear. He was also a descendant of divine roman families.

I think that Julius Caesar said and you child? Because in my opinion it would be weird if he didnt say anything when he saw his son.
