Well yeah close enough I guess. The brass player doesnt need to fill their entire lungs, but enough air to play relative to the instrument and the note being played instead. Also while they player does buzz their lips, they arent making a forced effort to keep their lips closed.

Basically the musician buzzes their lips into the mouthpiece
Also no talk of cylindrical vs conical bore. Oh and uh trombones arent really more jazzy than anything else so.
