When we measure things, most people are only worried about how accurate, or how close to the actual value, they are. Looking at the process of measurement more carefully, you will see that there is another important consideration: precision. Matt Anticole explains what exactly precision is and how can help us to measure things better. Lesson by Matt Anticole

I remember in high school over this subject and using suction cup arrows to see who did the best. I was surprised by how well I did when going for the smallest targets. Fun little activity to fully understand the concept of accuracy and precision.

I found out there was a difference between accuracy and precision when talking to a shotgun instructor. He said the accuracy was controlled by the shooter while the precision was the spread of the individual pellets.

In Statistics Accuracy is Reliability and Precision is Validity. I wonder why you didn't mention that in the script which kept rather vague in its explanation concerning the part about scientists.

Haven't watched the vid yet, let me guess: accuracy is how well you hit your target, whilst precision is how hard it is to hit the target, ie he accurately hit a precise target
Edit: ah well

Nice video! To sum it up in a sentence, accuracy is the product of precision. In other words, more precise calculations and engineering equal more accurate results and measurements.

Precision- the quality, condition, or fact of being exact and accurate.
Accuracy - the quality or state of being correct or precise.
According to the dictionary.

Accuracy= less consistent, but closer to the target
Presicion= very consistent, but farther from the target
So you gotta find a middle man
