As the number of potentially habitable planets that astronomers find continues to rise, we seem ever closer to answering the question, Are we alone in the universe? But should we be looking for life elsewhere? If we were to find life in one of these worlds, should we try to contact any beings who may live there? Is that wise? Aomawa Shields navigates the murky waters of pursuing curiosity. Lesson by Aomawa Shields

The sad thing is that if aliens are pondering about if there is other life, and they find us then contact us, we might be the hostile ones. They may be more advanced, but friendly. But if we start any fight (especially with nukes) and lord knows we probably will out of fear, they might act in self defense. And their self defense might be the end of humans. Just something to to think about, we might be the reason we should not try to find aliens.

Maybe when Christopher Columbus wanted find another route, there are some people saying its not a good thing maybe you get killed you will be eaten by dragons or some sort of other creatures. They say it because as a precaution. I m not contradicting the words of stefen hawking, to me its precarious warning, be aware! Its not that bad idea to explore. Even if some one says don't explore, would the people wanted to go will listen!

Hello posible hostile and invader aliens, wanna know something about our planet so you can defeat us easily?
There You go!
Wanna know the exact point in space where we are?
Here it is!
If you ask me i think this was a tremendous irresponsability from our part, giving data and exact posicion to possible enemies is extremely dangerous and can lead into a tremendous dissaster.

There is no Life in space bruh there can only be life in space if you believe in evolution. why isnt there life on mars? why not the moon? i thought you could freaking evolve into a creature that can Adapt to its environmet. after all life on earth started with asteroids forming? isnt that what they say? i wonder how many asteroids hit mars?

All of you are inconsistent for believing aliens exist because none of you believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster aliens when the argument for any alien can be used for the FSM: There's so much space out there, they just GOTTA exist! Hellywood indoctrinated you all.

1977? You know when the first iPhone was launched, right? We didnt even probably had the technology to make thousands of pixels back then, but they sent a machine to space to check for life in space? Wha. what. the. wh- okay, Ill have to do some research.

40, 000 years from now to maybe get a response from aliens 80, 000 from now. In 40, 000 years we could have developed tech to send men to that solar system before that probe even gets there

Meanwhile on the TRAPPIST solar system: we think that we have seen a little tiny probe wandering through space, confirmed to have come from earth, confirmed life on earth.

What if we humans 40, 000 years later, totally forget about Voyager and found it wandering aimlessly in deep space. What would happen?
reply

I believe there is life in space, we are just not able to see life because they are so advanced in technology, they know how to hide.
