The quotient of Feynmann, one of the greatest theoretical physicists ever, Nobel Prize in physics and much more, was 124. With the difference that he really did the IQ test unlike many other genes, of which qi is estimated, a false estimate like Einstein's who never took the test. If I said to estimate the IQ of a Nobel laureate in physics who made a great contribution to quantum electronics, introduced the concept of nanotechnology, won a very difficult math tournament, and who at 15 had mastered computation, it would be estimated to 180 minimum. But no, feynam had an IQ of 124. This is a reality. From the scientific point of view we have Prof Gardner, who teaches psychology at Harvard, who with hundreds of experiments also on animals in 1983 came to publish in the work frames of mind the Theory of multiple intelligences, we have at least 9, the qi tries to measure only 2. now add to this the fact that Prof Gooleman, who also teaches psychology at Harvard, has managed to understand that success depends 80% on emotional intelligence, 20% only from qi, which therefore assumes an importance equal to zero, especially in the face of the SCIENTIFIC evidence of Gardner's research. We must also say that every time our brain learns something new it creates new synaptic connections, and that there is no limit, not even when you are 90, so the more you work the more you become intelligent, then based on the education we receive. we are more inclined towards certain things, but that doesn't mean we can't understand them, we just have to commit ourselves. Qi is a method invented in the early 1900s by the Frenchman Binet (he also said that it is not a good method. Still today we do not know anything about the brain and above all about intelligence and are you relying on a test made more than a century ago? Then I, who have an IQ of 133 obtained with a Mensa test, would never dare to say that I am smarter than Feynmann. The secret? Study and commit yourself by exploiting your genius.

As far as I know it wasnt a IQ test that was used for the selection of army in US, it was a personality test which is something totally different. The Flyn effect is based on the lack of new norms. A large group of people must be tested to determine the norm. It is highly possible that IQ of 100 is no longer the average and that the distribution has grown larger.

I've been trying to convince my race realist father that IQ isn't tied to inteligence for quite some time now. The sad thing is that I've already told him everything I can about the subject, but he just goes on with his predetermined responses - either citing The bell curve or giving some data points that aren't contextualised in any way.

IQ isn't fixed? Well sure, I suppose you could kill your brain cells and lower your IQ. Do you realize that if you invented something that could raise people's IQ by 20 points permanently then you would get the freaking Nobel Prize? In fact you would get much much more. No one has been able to do that.

No, IQ tests are not perfect. However, they are repeatable, and they tend to be consistent. IQ tests do show that there are differences between ethnicities as to IQ. Its the elephant in the room in discussing why certain ethinicities fare better than others economically.

IQ is just a skill, also kids' IQ depends on their parents and the environment they are living in. everything you are professional in doing it is considered as intelligence, also u can't be professional without hard working. IQ isn't actually genetic kids learns from their parents.

Any person's intelligence is purely based on their ability to access to quality education, good lifestyle, healthy food habits. Alexander the great became the great conquer from the Macedonia because he was taught by the great teacher in the world Aristotle.

Ive got a low IQ, Im going to uni in September to study nursing, I was told I would never be able to do my GCSEs, I did them and passed. Ive been tested loads for issues and disabilities, I can however excel at non-verbal reasoning though. Im autistic.

I tend to disagree.
The military does a good job at testing. I was a Nuclear Reactor Operator In the Navy. And all my peers that had a Nuclear field job, were highly intelligent, we were all sifted out through the use of two tests.

So IQ is 100 years old, antiquated and inaccurate, I get it. What do we use nowadays? Surely we can come up with a more sophisticated and modern set of dimensions to measure cognitive ability, right? No? Okay.
