Asking governments and private enterprise to solve the Covid-19 health crisis by making a vaccine is like asking Big Oil to solve the climate change. It means asking Big Pharma, geared for decades to manufacture demand for their ever increasing production, to kill the milking cow. Making a vaccine that cures the Covid virus for ever is not in their best interest. It requires an amount of investment that will never return if the virus is killed. As we speak, they are more likely trying to find a solution to make this a never ending health crisis, which can be profited from for decades to come. Governments are no different. They are powerless really. All they can really do in this health matter is impose lock downs, increase surveillance (even more so than before and more eagerly) and make deals with private enterprises for illusory vaccines which, as I argued, will never happen. Or, if they ever happen in some form or another, they will be designed to perpetuate the crisis, not to solve it.
Think about it this way. Governments all over the world are (supposedly) trying to fight climate change for decades now by making international deals after deals and treaties after treaties. Carbon emissions climbed higher and higher every year. What makes anyone think they will be more effective in dealing with THIS crisis.
Put your seat belt. No government or pharmaceutical company will save you from the coming impact. I think, deep down, you know this already.

I will say, this is all so amazing, only a short month or so ago, everyone including all the doctors on television were talking about more and more tests etc, now we are talking about if everyone will choose to get a vaccine when one comes available; after people's lives have been ruined, mass unemployment and many more being forced out on the streets, and let's not forget the thousands of loved ones world wide who have died; l might be wrong, but l presume they are close to their death count they wanted, and let's not forget all the big pharmaceutical companies that care so much (sarcastically) about people. All of this because governments claim they could not feed everyone in the world. Remember history, what happened after the second war, the economy started to boom for at least 40 -45 years there after. Someone needs to be strung up by the testicals.

The lockdown which has already killed many times this 153k figure is just the beginning. Suicides are spiking, economic disaster, backed up supply lines, millions unemployed, small business' wiped out, massive currency devaluation followed by the inevitable riots, famines, looting and eventually wars. The children will suffer most as usual, theres thousands a day dying already in some parts. Countless millions are going to die while clueless clowns wring their hands over mask wearing, vaccines and testing for a mild flu thats killed less people than urban bear attacks. What a joke, and not a funny one.

Personally, I will be hesitant to take the vaccine until a certain point. Dont get me wrong, I am not anti vaccine. However, Considering that the vaccine seems to be developed quicker than than normal. ,it is true that they will face a lot of pressure to approve a vaccine. Rushing the trials can have disastrous consequences. I will not take the vaccine until millions get it and it seems safe. There are all sorts of things that could go wrong. Serious side affects, ADE etc

Right now we don't need the best vaccine.
We need the effective vaccine.
It doesn't matter if there is side effects. I believe we can control mostly.
It will atleast control most of the pandemic enough so we can contain the virus.
Then we can develop vaccine slowly and controllably.

I took a pay cut to keep my job but I really enjoy working from home. I left the city and is able to rent a house at a small village. Fresh air everyday, good supply of food, Coronavirus almost inexistent here, nice people. Might be a bit selfish for me to wish for this to be the new normality.
