Sumerians used to trade with Indus valley civilization. Same tablets and seals have been found due to trading. Since indus valley civilization is still undeciphered it is tough to say their age and it is wrong to mention sumerians as oldest without the dilemma of indus valley civilization.

Hated History while studying in school, love it tremendously now cause of TED-Ed.
When the education system makes you only parrot notes and topics just in order to clear the exam, you lose complete interest in these kind of subjects. And I feel bad for never giving history its due.
