President Andrew Jackson was known as a man of the people, so what was he supposed to do when he was gifted a giant block of cheese that weighed a whopping 1400 lbs? Keep it? Throw it out? How would he deal with the stench? We've got all the answers to this bonkers Presidential story.

Andrew Jackson was arguably one of the biggest POS that ever held office. He was a slave trader and a murderer of women and children. He rewrote American laws so they could steal millions of acres from the Indians, freed blacks and the Spanish. He completely ignored the rules of the supreme Court and common decency. He completely gambled himself out of money so he had the United States print up his own form, which in turn created horrible inflation. You would think we would learn from our past mistakes but the present says we are just doomed to repeat them. On a cheese note the day after his inauguration the mob that left the White House left several hundred blocks of cheese ground into the carpet.

I had no idea how Imbalanced Jackson was. He was also a bit of a dictator. He not only had an insane presidency but after being shot in the chest In a pistol wheeling dual but he shot and killed Dickinson who was his dialing opponent. The man was a lunatic who really shouldnt have been president when you look into his person affairs. This is the kind of things they dont teach you in school when it comes to the four fathers of the United States.

I love your videos. however, you said the huge block of cheese was sitting in the hallway of his mansion. His mansion is located in Tennessee and isn't the White House. I've been to his plantation (The Hermitage) and to the slave quarters as well. it was all pretty eerie actually. Especially the main house.

An interesting story, but calling the POTUS the 'leader of the free world' in the early 19th Century shows some seriously inexcusable historical ignorance - especially regarding this particularly genocidal and anti-democratic maniac. Top three worst presidents surely, and by many metrics the worst.

So, weird. I thought for sure Jackson was just going to take it out to the people of D. C. and invite them to take what they wanted. Not only would that have been an appropriate action for a man of the people, but it would have solved the problem immediately.

President Van Buren- He was elected by males only. before suffrage. Once that came into effect. (almost) all the subsequent presidents had full sets of hair, great teeth, and looked like male models. hhhhhmm. Coincidence? Hardly.

They did realize he was trolling them. right?
It's an obvious burden, not a gift. Leaving it in the hallway for a year to stink and petrify as it turns to a gelatinous mold was the fate that man was dreaming of

Kinda left out the part about the crowd of 10k getting totally sh! tfaced on cheese & alcohol and trashing the white house.
Every president up to that point besides adams trashed the white house b4 leaving.

I mean, given the origins of the White Elephant GIft, this is pretty much the exact same thing, but unintentional. You can't give it away, but you can't really keep it either.

Thank you for history lesson. He was for the common man. this definition didn't include the black woman, since he seemingly gleefully engaged in human trafficking.

I thought the story was hilarious, but I also loved the music you chose and the picture of the little skunk. Funny as all get out. Thanks for a good laugh.

leader of the free world Uh, no. The US president, no matter who he or she is, is not the leader of the free world. That's just propaganda.
reply

He couldnt just distribute to the poor? Also why call him the president of the free country? He owned the LARGEST slave company of the time. Smfh

There's no such thing as too much cheese. That's like a girl too pretty or too much money.
Sounds like its time for A CHEESE PARTAY!

reply

Alright so i want to piss someone off what do i do? Oh i dont know maybe send him 2100 pounds of cheese and see how he deals with it.
reply

Why didn't he give it away the fist week to anyone who wanted some. And how was the White House not sacked my an army of mice?
reply

Fun fact Jefferson got a giant cheese first. Jackson got one because the guy from New York thought that Jackson was also deserving

WTH was wrong with these people? If you have too much, give it to the poor BEFORE it becomes rank. That was just WRONG!
