The Last Blockbuster: When 12 Historic Things Happened For The Last Time

History is a peculiar thing. We love our firsts - the first man on the moon, the first sip of coffee in the morning, the first time someone looked at an oyster and thought, I bet I could eat that. But just as fascinating, if not more so, are the lasts. The final hurrah of a piece of technology, the last stand of a species, or the ultimate curtain call of an icon - these moments offer profound insights into how far we've come, how much we've lost, and sometimes, how much we've bungled along the way.

I have some great memories going to blockbuster when I was younger. Walking up and down the aisles with great excitement. Sneaking into the porn room. Special memories. I love movies and still do And blockbuster will always have a special place in my heart.

I miss Blockbuster as my sister and I used to go every week to find new movies to rent. There were alot of them that never went to the theater going instead to home views. i also loved Woolworths too and Kmart and still miss them.

People definitely do forget Blockbuster shut down mom and pop video stores. Just like Wal-Mart destroyed a lot of small town downtown shops when they first came around. Guess progress always comes at a cost.

, love seeing Principal Steinbeck return. The fact that Cody being in kindergarten is an arc reminds me of Junior going to summer school which was also an arc.

Charlie Havlat may have been the last soldier to die in Europe, but he was hardly the last to die in WWII. The Japanese didn't surrender until September 1945.

I have the first Spiderman on VHS that we forgot to return to Blockbuster proudly displayed on a shelf. I wonder what the late return fee would be

Hawaiian Punch and Hershey Syrup used to come in cans, had to punch the top with a can opener to get the goods. (Last days of childhood)
