Newfoundland child protection failed Zachary and need to be held accountable. They did not assess Shirley's past. She was wanted for murder, that was more than enough grounds to start a protection application with the court. Even Zachary's law only kicks in after the child is deemed in need of protection. It doesn't work when the protection system fails, like it did for Zachary.

I remember watching this documentary I was so sad and angry for Andrew's parents. that woman was crazy and it was so infuriating that the court system allowed her to have custody of Zachary knowing she was charged with murder of Andrew.

This is like the tragic story of the woman who drowned all 4 of her kids. She wasn't supposed to have any more kids because of her mental instability yet she did and took their lives. Two sad stories. My son is named Zachary.

Rest in Peace, Andrew and Zachary. They didn't deserve their tragic deaths at the hands of Shirley Turner. You have to feel for Andrew's parents, losing their son and grandson within two years.
