What If The Sun Was Smaller Than The Earth?

In the universe, size matters. And so does distance. How big is the Sun compared to the Earth? Imagine you were able to shrink the Sun to the size of a basketball. At that point, the Earth would be reduced to the size of a sesame seed. That-s how massive our star is

Would the sun be able to orbit earth when shrank down into a white dwarf I remember reading that they can be roughly earth sized or maybe smaller. Or would it's super compressed mass mean we'd still orbit it? A white dwarf is also a cooler than main sequence stars since it's used up all it's fuel so it'd be similar to a cooked potato taken out of an oven. Would it then be able to heat the earth without the risk of burning all life to cinders?

01: 04 In universe size matter but also with distance. Not until you meet Neutron star or a Black Hole who's size just under 100 kilometer (not supermasive Blackhole) can eat up a millons kilometers bigger size stars like sun. Mass only matter in Universe. The more Mass you have the more power you have.

This earth is much bigger than we know land beyond the ice walls. I keep wondering what if the sun was actually what the puppeteers are saying. We wouldn-t be able to feel the warmth of the sun on our faces.

Will the earth became a star like the sun and the sun became earth and there's water and land and it will became planet that is very big and i send it will became the biggest planet
reply

me: ah yes look at the sun im gonna go set up the pool
the sun: gets smaller
me: .
the sun: what
me: why did you just get smaller
the sun: idk
me: ok.

Id like to see what if we pulled Mars into the 'goldilocks zone' or basically into our Orbit. And as a bonus what if we tried this with the other Planets in our solar system
reply

-What if this fiery ball of gas and plasma wasn't the biggest thing in our solar system? -
Then the planet Jupiter would be the largest thing in the solar system.

reply

Both Venus and Mars are also in the habitable zone of th Sun. The problem is that Goldilock zone doesn't garantee that all the conditions for life will be met

WHAT IF the the Earth did not Spin or Rotate but just layed Flat, Space did not exist and Planets were just lights in the sky. --Might be just the way it is. -

I like how I came to this video at the end of the other what if video of what will happen if earth was big as the sun and awesome video man: ]
reply

So basically every planet has the potential to become a sun if the mass increases? And in turn has the potential to become a black hole?
reply

wait if jupiter is huge, why doesnt it pull the planets to itself? isnt the bigger the size, the more the gravitational pull?
reply

What if the Solar System was like how ancient thought it was, e. i. what if the Earth was in the center of the system?
reply

At this time red dwarf stars were the smallest ones but today we found brown dwarf stars(3 times bigger than Jupiter)

This comment is like 30 seconds into the video, what if the sun was more massive still but smaller than the earth?

Love watching these what ifs i learn more and love any thing to do with space and our galaxy's and more its great

-What if: What scientific data/facts do you research and base your work on when preparing your what ifs?
reply

I wonder what would happen if the sun was the size of 10 Earths, but then the Earth was still bigger than that
reply

Earth: When I want to grow up I want to be like Jupiter.
Earth what if: I am a giant bigger than the sun

reply

In the world of planets, -star- is like an achievement for a planet. And it's a matter of pride for them!
reply

If the sun was smaller than the Earth, then it would be very cold and the sun won't be visible to us.
