They've been terrorizing animals and humans in Asia, and now they've come to North America. This is the murder hornet, one of the deadliest insects on our planet. What would happen if a murder hornet stung you? Could you be killed by one? And what makes them so deadly?

Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose to make war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you. But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he continued to bless you. So I delivered you out of his hand. Then you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho. And the men of Jericho fought against you- also the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. But I delivered them into your hand. I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, also the two kings of the Amorites, but not with your sword or with your bow. I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant. - - Joshua 24: 9-13

I lived in Japan for three years and I-ve only seen one of these hornets once. and it was dead. But it was huge! But what I believe the -murder - hornet that are here in North America are actually cicada killers, and you won-t see them often. They usually like to stay high up in the trees and rarely come down, usually avoiding humans. The attack the cicadas and lay their eggs inside them.

Murder hornets can be killed by Japanese bees. The bees do not attack when the hornet gets into their nest, but when it catches a bee, the bees start shaking around the hornet, heating up and cooking the hornet.

I got 6 stings by these psychopaths when I was 14. You can't imagine the pain. And running faster won't help. They chased me from our home to neerby school. And they made me scream and run like a mad boy.

Wow insane. BTW, kilometre rhymes with nanometre or millimetre, not thermometer; it's a unit of measurement, not a measuring device.

Easy solution: send some Japanese bees over to America and bam! With some time they should develop a technique to kill murder hornets.
