Reasons why draining the Mediterranean sea would be a rubbish idea:
1. Not enough resources in the world to make the dam.
2. Countries like Italy, Monaco and Libya would be affected with droughts and a water crisis.
3. This could affect ships and boats meaning cargo and passengers would be in a huge problem.
4. If the dam breaches, that would cause millions of deaths.
5. The water would evaporate, completely messing with the climate.
6: If all the water there was expelled from the Mediterranean, it would flood other seas.

First, if we did drained the Mediterranean. It would cause massive global economic crisis.
The Mediterranean leads to Suez canal. Where it's a shortcut to save gas, and time. And there would be no logical reason to drain the Mediterranean.
And ships that carries goods would have to go to Southern Pacific and go to South Africa's sea and arrive like places of UAE, India, Saubi Arabia, Indonesia. It would be very dumb reason to drain it unless a government was rich and had a reason to invest draining the Mediterranean. Lol

O. M. G. it could possible cause a mass human population explosion, because of the newly created land. That would be detrimental to the health of a planet. Humans would become an evasive species. This planet dies not need more humanoid births. Population growth must be curbed, before its too late. Thus planet is already dealing w/ severe overpopulation. There's nothing pretty about another baby being born to make things worse.

What if we kept growing at the same rate after puberty ended? How large would we be by the time people typically die from natural causes and how hard would living be? In this scenario people would be built to take the extra physical stress from getting as large as possible.

I think partly draining the world's oceans is our best chance of saving ourselves from rising sea levels caused by climate. If only we had the technology to drain the world's oceans, but that is a story for another What If.

And don-t forget about the time it would take to drain the entire thing. If it only drains 1. 6 meters or 5. 2 feet every year. It would take around 3, 000 years to drain the entire thing

After putting the dam between the Atlantic and Mediterranean and draining the Mediterranean, why can-t you just remove the dam afterwards so we can prevent sea level rise lol

Draining the Mediterranean would cause a 10m rise in global sea levels? I guess this has been verified, but it feels surprising to me. It's not that big, or deep!
