Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
In 1991, 8 people walked into the first ever biosphere project, committed to live there, grow their own food, recycle their waste and sustain themselves on limited amounts of oxygen for 2 years. So who better to ask What If we lived in a closed biosphere than Jane Poynter, one of the designers and participants of the historic endeavour. What was it like? How did people co-exist? Would this be feasible for larger communities? Join Peter, Richard and author, speaker, aerospace executive and former biospherian Jane Poynter, as they discuss what we learned from that biosphere project and how this could serve our future co-existence here on Earth and beyond

What if we lived. on many planets and in space stations. then have billions of people wont be a problem. I know let's store our seeds. our embryos. then when enough of us get off this planet. to then reintroduce the things that went extinct.

The 'test' was a failure. they had to pump oxygen into the biosphere and they ran out of food.
