Let NetSuite show you how they-ll benefit your business with a FREE Product Tour at www. netsuite. com/WHATIF Would you go to space if you had a chance? Would you still do it if the spacecraft was an air balloon? I'm talking a really big one. What kind of training would you need to complete before you went up there? How high into the atmosphere would you get? And what would be the chances of getting whisked into space?

Not if balloon is filled with Helium since we only have 25 to 30 years left! After that we will have to find some other way to to work MRI machines, create fiber optics, cool nuclear power plants, go to outer space, make smart phones/TV's (Most of all electronics) etc, etc.
But if these greedy rich guys want to send it up filled with Hydrogen and it doesn't hurt the environment well.
No thank you, I would rather stay grounded where I can open a window of I smell a fart!

why cant they just compress some amount of hydrogen back into the balloon during the descent (technically suck that back into a cylinder) and descend the thing. why waste hydrogen?
.
Technically you increase the mass to buoyance ratio and the velocity of the drop can be technically controlled without the parachute thing opening up. and launching people into water. this only adds lots of cost

The comment about the 'lifestyle change' to afford this, was a big marketing mistake. People having to consider the choice of a new car or this 4-hour experience, are in a lower financial bracket, where this statement will onlt. bring them solidly 'back down to earth'.

I wonder if the view will be that great, given the edge of space is 3x the above the point this balloon can fly, in contrast this balloon goes 3x above the altitude of a commercial aircraft, which is not really a big deal.

Hydrogen is a very tough choice. It literally leaks through anything and everything. And it's really flammable. I'm excited to see if they can pull this off but it's one tough road ahead. Good luck to them

I've been watching what If discussed for a while now and I LOVE the change! It was basically just a podcast before but now with it being shorter and contains video clips, it's much better.

PEOPLE: lets go on a baloon to space
SKY: wait what did they just say
ATMOSPHERE: not againnnnnnnnn
GRAVITY: i think not
BALOON AND HYDROGEN: i think yes and who is you

Have you seen: this gondola has a spheric windows. thats why probably humans inside seeing that earth ist spheric

Do your commercial/ ad before. Or at the end of your vids, those sudden interruptions and sudden change of topic mid sentence is highly irritating and confusing
reply

Love the graphics animation where the people inside are intent on drinking champagne rather than take in the view which is what it is supposedly about.

What about meteorites? One tiny small highspeed space debris could be disastrous- right?
Does someone smarter than me have an answer to this point?

$5k would be excessive, maybe $500. Gotta be smoking something to think a balloon ride is worth over $1 million per trip of 8 people.

What would happen if the hydrogen inside the balloon has been gonna fire or a little spark has been triggered near hydrogen balloon -

I thought this video would be about someone strapping some balloons to a chair with an oxygen tank and just floating up into space --

Hydrogen: you could not live with your failures where did that bring you? Back to me

reply

August Picard did this in the early 1900's if their balloons take that long to be functional they have some garbage technology.

Soooo we-re just going to ignore that hydrogen is EXTREMELY flammable? I know you-ve heard of the Hindenburg incident. Sus.
reply

I wouldn't go to outer space because I am terrified of heights and I like to live in too much even though I don't have a life
reply

After what happened to the Hindenburg, I have no intention of getting in a balloon filled with hydrogen.
reply

When it's time to go down again, you just poke a hole in the balloon to make it burst and fly around.
