I imagine the earth 1 million years from now would be pretty similar to The Doom of Valyria. We'd be extinct, and all that would be left is the ruins of a once great civilization, but the man made horrors we left behind would probably be still lurking around in all the shadows. If there ever is an interplanetary system in the future, the Earth would probably be a spooky place with all sorts of -and they were never seen again- stories of expedition teams mysteriously losing contact and seemingly got by whatever lives there now.

I wish I could see the future hundreds of thousands of years from now, but I highly doubt we will discover how to make us immortal and or super slow to aging with in my lifetime. I'd love if we did so I could make it to thousands of years old before expiring but I know that just isn't very realistic with our technology at the current state it is.

Then that would mean our timeline is an alternate timeline because theirs was the prime timeline so the question is what were they hoping to change or see. They can't go back into their own history because u have to travel faster than the speed of light and that would cause an infinity loop and violate causality.

I think we will ally with a lot of aliens and they will be allowed to live on Earth, and we will not even consider Earth so special. And living with so many different aliens will make human to not be racist. So we will not kill bugs because they are bugs or kill pigs because they are pigs.

Think about it like as if one generation of our ancestors failed us causing a mass extinction causing us to never exist. That is how we have failed the future. Species are in steep declines with many going extinct every year as we are in an extinction event caused by humans.

aliens dont need to do fossil search to see if earth was inhabited in the past. We already left a lot of space junk in our atmosphere for them to see. In a million years im pretty sure our atmosphere will even be more polluted with trash from us.
