We humans always miss one simple point. That the best civilization is to nourish the natural environments, forest and animals as if the earth has just been created and then live a balanced and harmony life with them.
In my point of view, the type 3 and above civilization is nothing but disaster and suffocating because it will destroy the environment totally, no plants, forests, rain, river anything. ( as per shown in the graphic videos here ).
So, again the best civilization is to live balanced with nature. Breathe fresh air.

How old is this theoryKardashev with all due respect for his era didn't know about ZERO POINT energy, DARK MATTER THEORY or DARK ENERGY THEORY and hell what do we know anyway. I just do not see much sense in wrapping millions of miles long solar panel strips around any star! Science has looooong way to go.

We will never be a type 1 on earth we can’t agree on peace and the ability to live together without killing each other and fighting over money how are we supposed to accomplish type 1 civilization if we constantly threaten to nuke each other.
