The solution is people in 4 wheelers not knowing how to drive most accidents that ive seen first hand is 80% the cars fault. if you eliminate a trucks stopping distance by merging in front of the space that the semi leaves in front, they have no choice but to hit you if traffic slows down too much. but people dont seem to know this. when a semi leaves a big gap in front of them thats there stopping distance, NOT your free ticket to make a lane change leave at least 7 car lengths in front of a semi to insure your not runover.

This will result in most businesses being closed along with enormous unemployment. Only mega corporations will survive. The only solution is to decrease population and close most medium and smaller businesses so the large fish can survive. Population needs to decrease due to skyrocketing unemployment. Governments and corporations can-t survive while supporting 300 plus million mouths to feed. Eventually all job fields will be run by computers-not only car manufacturing and trucking jobs. Humans have just about outlived their worth.

I see the future of driverless trucks of being sabotaged because they're taking the jobs of truck drivers and they're not going to like it so they're going to sabotage them at every chance they can so then they go back to drivers, unless they're going to still have somebody in the truck and then what's the point of having a driverless truck now you just have a guy sitting in a vehicle not doing anything getting paid $10 an hour to sit there and do nothing or you can just pay him to drive

This is all fake news I'm out here 30 years there's no robotic trucks driving I'm on the interstate there's no such thing I've never seen it there not in truck stops you put in a fuel in them? Who's going to the customer and opening the doors in bargaining with a customer when to get loaded and arguing about appointment time who's moving the wheels to adjust the balance in the Wake who's taking it to the scale to weigh it who's putting the load locks in the load?

All these people are worried about traffic jam reaction time. Anybody can have a fancy break system handle that until it's going downhill.
I'm thinking about when they will start 'forgetting' to maintain the parts, and use this as an excuse to pay so little that nobody will even grace the sleeper.
Who's holding shippers accountable for weight then?

Do the companies and makers of these abomination's actually believe that truck drivers will not retaliate against this technology? We will wreck them and disable every one you build and there is nothing you can do about it! You are foolish to think people will just step aside while you destroy our livelihoods and our families.

What about hackers? I'm sure someone can figure out how to hack that truck. Can you imagine the issues that would cause? Even if they keep drivers behind the wheel they're going to try to lower the pay. Things are going to get much worse. Automation is going to bring a big hurt to this country and the people.
