2005 Female World Beatbox Champion Butterscotch explains the art of beatboxing in 13 levels of difficulty. Starting with just the bass drum, Butterscotch layers more and more vocal drums and instruments on top of each other until she starts adding real, live instruments as well. As someone who's had an interest in beatboxing for a while now, it was really great seeing someone so positive and passionate explain every single step about what they do in such great detail. I also appreciate the fact that Butterscotch didn't let her own weaknesses overcome her - the fact that she can't go low didn't mean she couldn't beatbox, only that she decided to adapt instead and does it well regardless.
This is definitely one of my favourite -Levels of ___-, huge thanks to Butterscotch for auditing for this!

Butterscotch you really opened my eyes, ears, and soul to your amazing beatbox world! It's so spiritual and sensual at the same time. I am talking beyond the musical level it's really such a wonderful expression of using our body (not just mouth) as instruments. There is so much emotion involved, whether in rap, soul, pop, or jazz. Thanks for sharing! To Butterscotch and Wired!

To all those commenting -But swissbeatbox. - you should remember that she was good back in her times, and was literally the first female world champion. Beatboxing evolves as time goes on, she's just passing on the experience. No need to compare her to beatboxers like NaPoM, D-Low, etc.

Her explanation with boots and cats, that came along just as I was struggling with following along was so well timed. And it shows that she has achieved such a mastery to be able to explain it to a total noob.

Inertia's voice is low, however the subwoofer bass sound is inward bass, which doesn't necessarily require a deep and low voice.
Edit: She could also do the outwards and inwards sub-bass

Oh my god, I completely forgot Butterscotch was on America's got Talent so long ago.
I just found her again on Spotify like 2 years ago and never made the connection

If I had to say what my -signature beatbox sound- is, it'd probably be the way I do those dubstep growls that sound like words or something.

That was amazing! Saw Rahzel live back in the day. And I would sing -swing low, - to my babies, to sleep, as my dad did with me. Didn-t know it was actually a song.

Shout out to the editors on this one. They kept it minimal, but made it easier to follow the complexities of the rhythms.
