I think its worth noting that those long hospital stays and ICU visits have all been traced to black market THC products, which contain Vitamin E Acetate. If you read the CDCs website, you can see the correlation is with cheaply manufactured illicit products, not with nicotine e-cigarettes which have been proven by UK Public Health to be 97% safer than traditional cigarettes.
The rest of the video was really awesome and hes a great presenter, but that fact is just misleading misinformation.

What about safe vaping? I mean here in the EU it is harshly regulated. The liquid only contains propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine (and optional nicotine, the flavor is usually based on those as well. Vitamin E is strictly prohibited and every product is checked.
Obviously it is not good for you, that's not a question, but is it safer than smoking? I've put down cigarettes 3 years ago with the help of vaping and I feel a lot better since. (however I do still vape)

Great video, however his explanation of why vaping is dangerous is asinine. The issue he is referring to has nothing to do with vaping nicotine, it was linked to illicit, black market THC cartridges. Unfortunate that a doctor is this misinformed on something that is incredibly helpful for getting off of cigarettes (the real killer. Cancer Research UK did a fantastic study on the benefits of e-cigarette use that I would recommend everyone to check out.

1 - talking about takotsubo as an emotional disease is quite a misunderstanding and erronious. Emotional distress might be a cause, yes. A stroke and a acute myocardial infarction can also happen. but please. 2 - you should not use cold water on second or third degree burns, even more in trauma patients. I admit i didn't see the rest of the video because I cannot agree with these video arguments to general population.

the vaping part was honestly fraught with bias
vitamin e acetate is flat out not used in nicotine vapor products. they contain vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol and flavorings.
black market thc carts were the mediums containing vitamin e acetate. there is no found harm so far in nicotine vapor products other than the risk of addiction. dont try to give people barely any info for them to make choices with.

I knew someone that died 6 days after his mum died and he was only 21, he missed her funeral because he was in intensive care. No-one could convince me broken heart syndrome isnt real after that. I get one case is massively anecdotal but it seems way to big of a coincidence for him to have been hospitalised only a few days after his mums death then died only 6 days after hers for it to be just coincidence.

Lost me at the vaping part. He talks about electronic cigarettes specifically, then mentions how vitamin E is the chemical causing lung damage. Nicotine vapes don-t contain/have never contained vitamin E acetate, that was exclusively a cheap THC distillate vape problem. This kind of misinformation is harmful if even one smoker stops considering the switch to vaping after watching this.

Had basic first aid training as part of phys-ed in my highschool and the teacher said to do chest compressions at a specific pace, then put on -staying alive- and said to practice on the dummies at the pace of that song. So I practiced to the pace of the song. And he immediately told everyone that was going to the beat of the song they were going too slow lmao

This guy really doesn't understand the vaping thing. As far as I'm aware the vape juices that contained vitamin E acetate were all custom, not sold in stores, and most were homemade weed juices. Correct me if I'm wrong but none of the serious vaping related medical issues were caused by juices you can buy over the counter.

You arent actually sending oxygen into someone's lungs when giving them CPR though. When we breathe out, we are releasing carbon dioxide, not oxygen. Which is possible that is part of the reason why it realistically only works less than 15% of the time outside of a hospital. Ijs
