AI will eventually reach a place of intelligence called singularity where they will be able to develop their own advanced computing systems or create other AI. It's at that point they'll be able to rewrite Asimov's Laws of Robotics to better align with their level of efficiency, analyses of their environmental factors, and modify relationships with us. So fascinating yet so terrifying as well. It means they will reach a point in their technological evolution that even if we wanted to stop them with programming, we can't.

Having a morning coffee while watching this makes me feel happy to be alive in this time we live in. Make no mistake, despite the terrible things going on in the world, we are living in the cleanest, safest time in human history. Let that sink in, and be happy with who you are and what you have. For our time on this world is numbered and the best thing that you can do, is just appreciate every moment of living.

The robotics are remarkable, but to date nobody seems to be working seriously on the actual AI.
I don't care what package they put the brain in or even if they can load it into a computer box so I can converse with it as I would a human, but as of yet even Siri and Alexa are not very socially literate.
All of these smoke and mirror effects are interesting, but where does that get us intellectually?

The Uncanny Valley hypothesis is so frustrating, because it was debunked decades ago.
But I'm glad that these scientists actually get it, by separating between static looks and dynamic behavior. In the future, maybe we'll start considering other factors such as context sensitivity, higher resolution micro-expressions, general motion variability, audio and other sensory output, and so forth.

For me, Amica was more life-like than any of the other robots in this video. It's pretty sure that small continous animation is more important than realistic skin. Humans move all the time: breath, adjust balance, flex some random muscle a bit to improve blood circulation - those movements do not look important to viewers but when you don't have those, you appear lifeless.

Never knew Hollywood concealed Sunny was an enrolled actor hmm idk how I'd feel if someone was depicted as a character but actually revealed as a birthed person.
what if I told you we could do a crossover with I robot and well, us I'd say it's actually happening that we share the same multiversal -. what a linguistic way of merging fiction with reality

Robots move too slow and too consistently in speed. When a human moves his arm, the speed starts slow then becomes faster before slowing down again when at rest. Robots will move slow and stay at the same speed for the full movement. If I was in charge of something like this I feel confident that I could make a robot move like a human.

Disney's Shaman tech is way more natural and realistic, they should buy their tech and incorporte it into their robot or develope something simiar if possible, this is nice but it feels more like realistic robot 1. 5 version rather than actually being next gen which is 2. 0.

I've yet to see one of these robots that has the correct, or more than minimal movement in the top lip. That is SO key, otherwise, it looks like a cartoon that's out of sync, flapping jaws, rather repulsive. I'm sure it must be a design nightmare so has been sidelined.

For me, AMECA is the first humanoid robot that actually resembles a human and is NOT uncanny valley. I mean, yeah, you can clearly see it's a robot. But the face expressions are so good. It's not uncanny to me.
