I love Karen Gillan, but it really is supposed to be pronounced 'van Gog'. The name starts and ends with phlegmy g's (the h is silent) and it really shouldn't be that hard to pronounce for Scottish people; ) No idea why English speakers refuse to acknowledge that the man was Dutch and thus his name comes with a Dutch pronunciation.

Its funny i have been to the states so many time and a lot of other places in the world.
America is the only country i came back with and accent. When i was in the UK i didn't get an accent probably because they don't speak English anyway.

My best guess is that her audition for Game Of Thrones was perhaps for the role of Gilly. and if so, I'm rather glad she didn't get it, as it let me discover the adorable Hannah Murray, and then we got Karen Gillen so soon afterward anyway

The onscreen dynamic between Karen and Arthur is superb. It would be great if they could do a movie or a TV series together sometime. With the right theme and scripts it would be fantastic and probably very successful too.

I wonder if the -what if Karen Gillan- was meant to be asking -Is Karen Gillan in the What If? series on Disney+? - That would make sense. Otherwise it may be a riff on -Why is Gamora? -

Can I just say that both Americans and people in Britain pronounce the name van Gogh wrong. It bothers meee. It is a Dutch name so you have to say the G like ggggggh.

I've heard of her, but don't know anything she's done. She's beautiful and funny, but, she can't drive nor swim. So, that's a dealbreaker. LOL!
