ARISTOTLE: Rhetoric - FULL AudioBook - Classical Philosophy of Ancient Greece . The text is nearly impossible to follow, given such a bad reading. The Kermit-like voice doesnt bother me - it is the inability to properly read and convey to others what is being read that kills it for me. Sorry to the reader, but it is how I fealt. I gave it a good 8min, and couldnt go on. Lets hope others do not fell deterred to try and make a new recording in future, since they would see this already uploaded. :/

The audiobook version here is difficult for first time listeners of Aristotle. It's better to read the book. By reading and pausing at times to digest, and also re-reading if necessary the reader will have a better understanding and a more enjoyable Aristotle experience. For those who already read and understand the book the Audio version is fine.

ok. this is really hard to understand. I listen to a lot of audio books, but I think this one (this reader) is the hardest to understand. it's not just about the tone of his voice, it's about where he makes pauses in speech, the words he accentuates. you just don't know is he in the same sentence, or is he beginning the new one. very, very bad.

Just genuinely curious I guess. You look like you might be or I can picture you in a tunic ordering some slave. I think I was drinking when I wrote that. In all seriousness it is good to be proud of one's heritage and culture. We Americans, well it is different to be an American. you might say it is defined by contrast with Europe.

I have a hard time reading things like this already, hence me listening to the audio for it, but I am also having a hard time understanding it. Maybe it is the text itself. Maybe it is how it is read. I don't blame the reader, though. Something tells me it could have been read to me by Morgan Freeman and I still wouldn't get it.

If you pick a side at least defend it till the end; your weakness and indolent behavior leaves very little to be desired. You should re-evaluate your entire existence; because only then might you realize how much better this world would be without you. :) Pull that trigger, come on; do it.

I agree with some of the comments but y'all do not need to disrespect Geoffrey like this! This is someone who volunteered MANY hours to help people ant w/ no personal benefit. The audiobook isn't workin for me but we do not tolerate Geoff slander in this house

Now, this might be a little over the top. But, I've taken other pieces that this particular reader has done and digitally enhanced them just a wee bit lower in pitch. They sound pretty good to me. Maybe I could post a few, after trying Aristotle.

I just want to tell you that your voice is ideal for this! I thoroughly enjoy your pronunciations and your diction is phenomenal! You're one of my favorite audiobook recorders ever. If it were up to me you would be famous for these!

I withstood this audiobook for 57 seconds! I decided reading Rhetoric would be pleasanter, so I downloaded the PDF!

dude, this guy's voice isn't suitable for this read. You need a nice deep voice like morgan freeman or Benedict Cumberbatch. I can't listen to 8hrs of this. thanks anyway.

He literally sounds like he is a long lost character from the muppets that even bored the writers into cutting them loose. Does anyone have a less brain damaging version

Jeffery Edwards is one of the worst narrators I have ever heard and I am thoroughly disappointed that he seems to be the only person who does Aristotle audiobooks.

Good god. It matters how you convey the message. In this case, the message was conveyed very poorly by the speaker due to the style and sound of it.

Such disgrace among people of academia. To resort to insults is clearly a defining level of your intelligence. Aptly denotes your age as well.
