I mean, is this the original Jungle Book Its the first time a book makes me feel that the adaptations are way better. I would had liked to see deeper characters and deeper and richer relationships between them. Some of them, like the grey wolf brother of Mowgli, are only a pale shadow. We know nothing about him. In the Japanese anime we got to know his brothers, sisters, friends. They had names. Heck! In this book we even dont get to know well Mowglis adoptive parents. In the Japanese anime we know them and we end loving them. How could we forget the female wolf, Luri, from the anime, always protective and loving Here, the wolf adoptive mother is almost lost through all the story. Same with the father. How sad. Is this not an story about a human child raised by wolves
And why is Mowgli kicked out of both the wolf pack and the human village
Pretty disappointing to me.

I'm really not used to Kipling in a foreign accent, really don't like it; I'd prefer for the original pronunciations of names and places to be used.
