Wuthering Heights - FULL AudioBook - Dramatic Reading (Part 1 of 2) Nelly is the only one to see and recognize the injustices that others face and also impose. And she even suffers her own injustices but never allows them to get past her protective barrier. It baffles me that everyone just continues the cycle of abuse even the new neighbor has an unfeeling nature about him.

I applaud all the voice actors that volunteered their time for this. Many of them were good, but they should have found a different guy to read for Heathcliff. His delivery was so monotone and didn't match the passion of what was being said on the page. I'm not expecting great acting from a volunteer performer, but this was just too flat for such an important character in the book.

As a 15yo non native english speaker trying to read classics, this was a great help. Victorian english is hard but I found the book much more accessible with this dramatic reading alongside reading the book myself! Thank you

I haven’t been able to concentrate on my uni readings, but this helped me at least have it on the background while I played with my switch hshshs. It’ll be enough for the class discussion

Narration is much too fast, and why does Heathcliff have a strong Canadian accent. Can't listen, it's ridiculous.
reply

Unfortunate choice for a narrator. This woman sounds like she’s in a hurry to complete a pestering task.

This seemed great until I heard Heathcliff speak. an American accent, really The main character. sigh. :(

Wow I can’t believe I’m only half way through! This book reads very slow but I must know what happens!
reply

It will be nice to read slowly and with a different music. It is quite a poetic and romantic

I have no idea what this book is about after listening and attempting to read it.

reply

It’s a love story. Not a typical love story. But love conquers all indeed
reply

Not to justify Heathcliff, but the man has only hatred. I don’t blame him
reply

I don't need to hear how this is in the public domain before every chapter.
