Out of curiosity, I bought a second hand copy of Millennium years after seeing the movie starring Kris Kristofferson and Cheryl Ladd, and found that John Varley's book was infinitely better. The Gaean trilogy was my introduction to his work - and I was hooked! The Ophiuchi Hotline quickly became a firm favourite of mine. I'm kinda hoping the trials and tribulations of Lilo-Alexandr-Calypso will become an audiobook.

Absolutely spell-binding! My mind & sense of being got twisted every which way exactly what science fiction is supposed to do to you.
Superbly read! Great job Mr. Van Doren

Wow, i remember the movie adaptation. When people from the future travel to the past, they have to chain smoke because they can't handle the purer air.

Thanks for this one. And all of them. Unrelated question for you, HB: Do you have a mirror or a backup repository elsewhere just in case

Crossover of my two favorite avocations: Science Fiction and Aviation Mishaps.
