the Sha Rukh Khan one woulda probably been a much bigger draw if he was more of a practising Muslim at the time.
Also the other reason is the story needs to be more relatable to the broader Muslim population: : I can't related to a Muslim man marrying a woman from outside of the Abrahamic faiths; those who marry Christian and Jewish women already become astranged because their Muslim friends distance themselves from them. I know cos one of my mosque buddies has been married to a Christian woman for over 10 years, it's odd for me cos I don't want too look at my friend's wife or take her hand when greeting, cos I shouldn't. we're from a secular country, but society's used to having a prominent Muslim population

As an Aspy (person with Aspergers) every movie I see about Autism goes over the top. My case is so mild that people don't know it. They see that there's something off about me but don't get the Autism because they expect me to be Rain Man. I'm 55 years old and never been married and didn't Daye much because my Autism, while not extreme, is still a deal breaker because women that I knew thought that if they marry me and bear my children, I will give then my Autism.

We watched a movie years ago, based on a true story. Sorry I can't remember the name, but it was very good. The Parent's took all distractions out of a room, and just spoke to the young child, and all he had was a plate they spun around, and a ball. He was cured after alot of hard intense work, by the Parent's, and ended up as an Adult working and very normal.

Awesome list. I -really need to see The Accountant-.
I would've added -What's Eating Gilbert Grape-, but I understand that the movie is only -half- about Arnie, and it wasn't explicitly indicated that he was diagnosed with ASD.

-A Man Called Otto- just came out. Great movie. Tear jerker. Otto is clearly autistic without anyone mentioning it. Some characters know how to bring out the best in him, others don't. It's well done in my opinion.

No, it-s just a bunch of common tropes playing off of the stereotype that people with high functioning autism are all geniuses. It-s annoying.

Barfi is an amazing movie with an autistic girl portrayed by Priyanka Chopra. (Barfi is a sweet for reference where did that name come from)
