one time i was working at michaels and they had me signed up to work black friday, i went in the day before and asked if i was getting pay and a half for black friday, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU SHOULD GET PAY AND A HALF FOR BLACK FRIDAY? ESPECIALLY AT A RETAIL STORE? my boss tells me, absolutely not, why would you? were not even having any big sales, hardly anyone will come in. lets just say i DID NOT show up, DUH, the store got overwhelmed, and we lost a majority of our inventory out on the floor.

luckily the one year I worked at WalMart I was going to college too so the one big day of the week with my classes were on Fridays so I had it off, Thank every spiritual being you know of it, I was a truck unloader so I did have to move all the Black Friday product that came in towards the build up of the day, so was interesting to find places to cram it all in the stock room

I worked at Target and it was insanity. People were running and demanding items we didnt have. One lady left to go to a Walmart across the street. I told her she had 15 minutes till we close. She left her basket and ran out. She came back at 1: 30 am, beating on our doors and was kicking it too. Our security went out and escorted her to her car.

Ive been Black Friday shopping since 2012 and it has NEVER been as bad as its made out to be. Ive worked 3 at one of the most prominent stores and it wasnt bad at all (other than working for 16 hours straight. Even as a shopper, ive stopped to help others find what theyre looking for maybe were just more friendly in Texas

stop black friday. its 2020 and consumerism is cheaply rampant. how much of a deal to do you need on something that costs 5 every day? get your priorities straight people. try doing a no-buy/low-buy year and check your shopping emotions. stop creating e-waste and textile waste that we cant readily get rid of.

I got a lucky on Black Friday when I worked as a cashier lol. I only got like maybe 20 customers through my line, compared to my coworkers who probably got at least 80-100. And all of my customers were super nice lol

I dont go outside on Black Friday. (Mostly cuz Im twelve and my mom is scared I might get hurt in stores because Im smaller than normal for my age, Shes not overprotective) I stay in my room and watch Black Friday (Starkid)

I worked Black Friday once at a certain store with a white star logo that specializes in selling clothes and appliances. It honestly wasnt too bad other than the nonstop long lives. I was pretty worn out afterwards.
