Why Hulk Did NOT Fight Thanos in Avengers: Endgame - EXPLAINED

Hulk is one of the, if not the most dangerous hand combat character of the Avangers and is often introduced as so by is fellow fighters. Then we could expect that Hulk, at least, threaten Thanos a little more in the 1st fight than almost any other Avengers in the coming fights. Specially when he has only 1 stone (that he may not even have used) compare to full set of stones in the end.
To me, the power of each Avenger in the last 2 movies is just -as it fits to serve the scenario we have- and not trying to find a scenario that deals with everybody's powers.
To say the truth, after the fight between Thor and Hulk, Hulk was slowly shown less and everytime weaker than before. And I feel its sad.

The one thing that is confusing me, is, according to the -Incredible Hulk-, Bruce Banner turns into the -Hulk- when he gets pissed off, then, when he becomes calm, he becomes human, becoming Bruce Banner again. Yet, this -professor hulk- seems to ha e a calm demeanor. Was there some side effect of some epic battle that forced Bruce Banner to be hulk forever? Or is Bruce Banner holding in some internal rage, keeping him as Hulk, even though it seems he is calm?
I'm confused.

I don't think thanos is stronger than Hulk. It's just that thanos has had training. Hulk has only fought beings that were not as powerful as he was, so he didn't really need strategy just brute force, which he had. So when confronted with another being as strong and powerful as Hulk, in a hand to hand combat hulk wasn't as prepared. If hulk had the fighting abilities of Cap or Thor and with his strength level, he'd have won against thanos (in my opinion)

I don't think thanos is stronger than Hulk. It's just that thanos has had training. Hulk has no doubt taken a toll on his hand due to snapping his finger. However even if he was all okay, he would not have been able to beat Thanos. Hulk, if you have noticed, is smaller than the earlier Hulk. His brain is that of Banner who is a scientist, so there is no rage in Hulk anymore. Banner is no fighter he can't stand a fight against Thanos as Thanos is extremely good at fighting. He gave all three of them, Cap Iron Man And Thor hard time during Endgame.

Everyone realizes Hulk was hurt from the Snap. But he IS the Hulk and not seeing him doing his thing in Endgame was an injustice to his character. Far as I was concerned Professor Hulk was just Bruce Banner and not the Hulk at all. Professor Hulk, while pivotal to the narrative, was just not as fun to watch. I'm hoping he returns in proper Hulk form in the future to do some proper Hulking out.

also you can see the nano gauntlet Tony made is much weaker in term of harness the power of the stones compare to the original infinity gauntlet that dwarf made using Uru. Every time Thanos put on a stone, energy surge but Thanos feels good not pain like the nano gauntlet. Also the surge is gone after a little while for uru gauntlet but it is always on for nano one.

Every direction the Russos took with the Hulk was ultimately disappointing. How do you bench the Hulk from the two biggest Avengers movies? He does nothing in the final showdown of either movie, and it was so unnecessary. Cap, Thor, and Tony got plenty of great action scenes in BOTH movies, and the Hulk just gets a snap? It was underwhelming and unforgiveable.

Captain Marvel was also a perfect contender for snapping everyone back. And then her -OP-ness- would have been kinda fixed too.
Hulk should have at least destroyed Thanos' ship instead.

I don't think that people don't understand why Hulk cannot fight not more, it's about the question of why MCU did not let Hulk go rage and smash things like he did in first 2 Avengers movie. I mean, I nearly forgot what Hulk can do in recent MCU movies, they have hidden him for a long while and not let him fight.

Not only that, Professor Hulk seems to be less strong than Savage Hulk even before the snap and 2014 Thanos is more of a fighter than the 2018 Thanos. If they were to fight in hand to hand combat, i feel like Endgame Thanos would wreck P. Hulk even quicker than what happened at the beginning of IW.
