It was odd how Maya's actions had no consequences. There was a lack of fear for her grandmother and cousin when they were captured, and Maya herself didn't seem scared for them at all. Even her cousin and uncle easily defeated the henchmen with a gun and a monster truck.
On the other hand, in Daredevil Season 3, the episode where Karen visits Kingpin's hotel room created a sense of fear from Karen's point of view. The conversation between them was tense, especially when she revealed Wesley's death and how she was responsible for it. For a moment, it felt like Kingpin might kill her after hearing about Wesley's death. The build-up was so intense that even for a moment, I felt anxious.
However, in ECHO, it felt like playing GTA Vice City with the cheat code LEAVEMEALONE.
I hope they don't mess it up in Daredevil: Born Again and maintain the high standard set by Netflix

Well I'm glad I didn't watch it. It's just sad. Writing shows for the sake of inclusivity is just a wrong idea if you don't plan on doing anything about the characters' struggles. In Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we saw the dynamic between Bucky and Sam changing because of them being treated differently because of their skin colour. That, was good writing. Sam just being fed up by politics' empty words, that was good writing. It shows the struggles of African American people in everyday life and it carries the narrative. But Maya being some overpowered nobody that just happens to be Native American, amputed and deaf for the sake of being different and oppressed, is just sad. It looks more like a awh, look how hard it is rather than a statement.

Like, you aren't even complaining about the one real issue Echo actually has, which is that not everyone knows a deaf person, or ASL, yet half the show's dialogue is in ASL only, with no subtitles for it. That's the only real issue, Daredevil in Echo was a billion times better than Daredevil in She-Hulk, Kingpin was better in Echo than in Hawkeye, Hawkeye was even better in Echo than in Endgame, and Maya is kinda ridiculously cool for no real reason other than just being a badass. I really don't get all the complaining and bs, like, it was a pretty good show, people need to just chill, or watch something else that they'll take less issue with, and stop ruining Marvel for the rest of us.

They did confirm that Echo is the last project that didn't have direct insight of Kevin Feige and Bob Iger. It was developed before the Strikes took place and would've been even shittier. I am not defending the show, cuz it is trash and I agree. But if what Marvel is stading for is true, this should be th elast of its kind. I absolutely loved how TheCanadianLad straight up became the alternate version of Kingpin seeing his variant getting absolutely massacred by 'ancestral maginc'. Just as he said, they are now firing literally everyone and writing new stories. That's why we have only one movie coming out this year. I too hope this will be the last of its kind, but only TIME will tell.

If Marvel doesn't fix itself after Deadpool 3 this year (apart from other Marvel/Sony movies which I have NEARLY 0 interest, every movie will be pirated from my side. Spiderman is already being ruined by Sony since they want the multiverse again but Tom and Kevin want it to be ground level, starting a new chapter from the previous trilogy.
Echo was already in great trouble, they made a total re-write and still we got this -_- how bad was it before the rewrites O-o

First thing, no woman in the mcu is well written, all villains in the mcu are misused, nerfed, dumbed down, without Evans & Downey as leads you can tell they were carrying the movies on their backs, scripts have always been bad, so this doesn't surprise me at all, they made the toughest and scariest street villain a pussy cat because he was going up against a woman and with non canonical powers at that ahahahahaahah

Very good video man, marvel is getting lazy with everything lately. To be honest there is no talent in the writing room and I’m pretty sure that every bad writer on the movies/shows are friends and family of the heads of marvel, therefore they don’t give a shit if its good or bad because the check will still cash in to them.
Marvel is DEAD, and they can’t go back to their gold days.

Marvel movies are trying so hard to show women empowerment, putting female characters in charge of most shows that they are not even focusing on the actual things which make the movie good and since phases 4 Marvel movies are going downhill there are few that are keeping it alive but for how long I stopped watching lots of Marvel movies and series and I'm sure I'm not the only one who did too

This just makes me believe that Marvel didn't really know why the Netflix Daredevil series was so popular. They just looked at it and said it's dark and gritty that's why people like it and wanted to replicate it with Echo, and they didn't even fully commit to that tone and just added this really cheesy powers that she didn't even have in the comics because the writers though it was lame.

You're a patient man I admit i reached this level of rage at multiverse of madness when they ruined Wanda and I'm not the same anymore I knew they'd have one or two good projects after but I just lost all investment and love for the MCU I just don't care anymore I feel kinda of betrayed because when phase 4 started I was a defender against the cynics and critics but now I'm one of them

I used to watch New Rockstarts so much and I used to love for the theories, reviews and explanations. But now they just love money and have become marvel’s buttlickers. They never say something is bad from the marvel even if its the worst thing ever made. And that’s why I love Canadian Lad because he is not a buttlicker. He tell what it is and I love it. I miss the hype for the MCU, but i simply can't care enough anymore, it became just a shit show, badly written, badly done and badly executed, it's something with so much potential, that's wasted with shitty endings, and fast premises for a handful of people to like, and the total rest realize how bad the show/movie are.

This same problem with powers given to anyone started for me with Monica Rambeau in WandaVision. Shes just a normal Person and goes through a random energy shield and suddenly has all these Powers she immediately has mastered.
Same as she hulk.
Marvel is all about strong independent women now who have 0 struggle.
I am done with it since spiderman nwh.

I was so excited for Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio that I convinced myself to watch this unholy filth. I do love Alaqua Cox and thought two Coxes will bring back those Netflix vibes. Marvel/Disney no longer respects common audience like us. The most enjoyable part of these shit shows is crapping on them with friends and like minded audience.

Thank you for saving my time watching this. I sometimes enjoy badly written shows and movies for action and spectacles and whatever but I don't think I would've enjoyed that.
This feels like MCU's version of M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender. Take a source material, worsen its every aspect, add new things that don't make sense and send it.
