Beautiful cinematography. glacial pacing. by 10 minutes in you're about to nod off or surf elsewhere. it catches you off guard at 12: 30 when the pilot reports the UFO. it gets really UFO-ish for a few minutes, and gripping. Then ends with mystery. I wonder what the old air traffic controller thought about his retirement party: ) Good short film - based on a UFO incident in South Australia in 1978. (P. S. Is there actually an airport in Roswell, NM I'm guessing the true story was shifted there to make it more USA-UFO-ish)

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. The actual case on which this is evidently based - the Frederick Valentich case in Australia - had a number of features that made it even weirder than the events depicted here. Some witnesses on the ground reported seeing a small plane (apparently Valentich's) encountering a green light. The next day, a farmer on country north of, but not far from, the incident reported seeing a ufo carrying a Cessna underneath.

Well, the short film was interesting. As to it based on real life events, that always perks the interests of UFO mystery scenario. Not sure if the goal of the film was to bring light to this event, or they choose it as one of many that had more interaction with others to confirm or back the story.

this short story is based on that kid that was obsessed with flying saucers. so he flies at night and became disoriented the martians he saw were planets stars and he was likely upside down so the martians he described were planets stars and objects on the ground.

Film implies it was a U. F. O.
95% of viewers: :: yeah right, there's no such thing as aliens and such. Now if there was a talking snake, donkey and those who were dead once again walked among the living (during crucifixion. Then that's believable.
Me: lmfao

Brenda Lee singing this version of How Deep Is The Ocean from Sincerely, Brenda Lee, released February 12, 1962.
This song can be heard in the background of the 1933 film The Life Of Jimmy Dolan, written in 1932 by Irving Berlin.

It really is thought provoking, what could have happened.
The acting and presentation is exceptionally Great, wish there were more like this on the subject of the missing people over the decades what did they encounter !

these sandwiches look strange
seem prefabricated, no vinaigrette, no nice fresh lettuce, no tomato, no ham on the bone, super fatty and chemical cheese, super unattractive sandwich bread, no baguette. oh my.

Epic fail. This event happened near Melbourne AUSTRALIA. The flight was not during the night and it was over water. If you’re going to make a film about real events at least get the location and time correct.
reply

Intriguing!
The movie Roswell 1994 was very good but it would be good to see a remake which could include other peripheral incidents like this the way Spielberg built up the tension in Close Encounters.

knowing DUST, after first minute i skipped 10 minutes and i dont think that i missed anything, what i count as bad scripting. i enjoyed it, because i lost so much time watching other endless DUST stories.
reply

What a load ov shit.
Why pick roswell when this happened in 1978 above Melbourne.
If your telling a story at lest tell the truth.
Iv just lost faith in this site. Laters

I think a good rendition of the Frederick Valentich case would be to tell what probably happened, no UFO whatsoever, and I think it would still make a great film.

Good old bologna and american cheese on white, with plain salted chips. Only thing its missing is butter or mayo, cuz that's gonna be one dry sandwich.

At 10: 29 the clock is at 9 and ticking few hour passed and at 10: 48 the clock is at 8 and ticking. Guess the time works backwards in that area
reply

this is a true story but did not happen in Roswell it happened ti Australia, a pilot was going to pick up some crawfish his name was Valentich
reply

It may not be Leo, but it is superb acting. when one is too good, it makes it fake. this is a brutally honest short film, nothing fake about it.
reply

Somebody must know. Does Roswell actually have a manned tower I wouldn't think so. No need to speculate. The aliens got another one.
reply

I love all the old 60s 70s props you guys put in this vid. There was a few exceptions i caught, but not many. Good attention to detail.
reply

I noticed some of your films don't have closed captioning, would I be able to be paid a small amount to provide that service
reply

It's very well done.
But it's a hack move to set it in Roswell. This sends the message that Roswell is where UFO stuff happens.

reply

Another Brendan Fenr appearance. He starred in the TV series Roswell as one of the aliena. This was one of my favorites.
reply

This is clearly referencing an inspired by the world famous and unsolved Valentich UFO case of 1978 in Australia.
reply

Typical pilot prank and only in the USA you have that type of BS specially in a well known town for UFO prank!
reply

You don't often see people making themselves a crisp sandwich (potato chip sandwich in the US I guess. Very nice.
reply

Nice one. Really liked how they built the atmosphere towards the end. No need for CGI for good old story telling.
reply

7: 38. HAH! I knew they were gonna say goldfish! Yep, just another quiet day at the office in Roswell!
reply

Dust - Please, who is the female singer her name would like to produce her if she is unknown. Thanks.

One engined weedwacker death plane! It aint if a crash is gonna happen, its more like when! Lol!
reply

When I see based on true events, I ask myself. do you have what it takes to watch this tonight
reply

I still remember that event from the declassified material released way back. It is a strange one.
reply

Focused wayyyyy too much on the air traffic controller. Why did we need to see him eat lunch
reply

Heard of this story before. what once was science fiction will indeed become science fact.
reply

That control tower was useless, just kept repeating the same questions over and over again
reply

The guy flying the plane, is he the guy who stared in the TV series, Roswell, as a alien.
