Minor hole in the scenario, technician walks in smoking a cigar, on a spacecraft OK, it's supposed to add nuance to the character and all that, but, well. ..
Apparently being allowed to attain hero status was below his pay grade, but nothing that some corrupt rule bending can't solve. Sort of a weird mix of 1984 meets cosmic horror.
So, laying wait, for years, centuries, for that perfect revenge moment. A matter/anti-matter bomb might have been more realistic. No nuclear device, even a thermonuclear device could ever have enough power to eradicate an entire planet, not even close, but OK, still a fun excursion into a cosmic future.

As over-the top this is, and as overused Cthulu can be to some people, I think this short really has potential!
You have an over-regulated dystopian society, to the point of parody! (You are not cleared for Heroic Action. Love it) And then straight out of left field comes eldritch nightmares!
This feels like a prequel to a series!
That said, Final Offer really nails the Eldritch Horror for me, in terms of incomprehensible and unstoppable forces!

nuculer at 6: 15. Seriously Plot and graphics great, but believability not so much. With so much at stake and not going smoothly, why wouldn't Command send in additional units to check what is happening. The officer yelling for the technician to come and being ignored should have triggered some response from Command, or are we to believe their coms wouldn't be monitored. Overall a lot of effort in presentation, but the storyline is full of holes.

I loved that this centered around Cthulhu! Also love the telepathy scenes and sticking to the mythology and liked this fresh take on a ranking/level system. I think I was more sad about the mechanic doing the heroic action than I was about the entire earth being destroyed/taken. I’d watch a full movie on this story, great job.

Acting is so poor. I guess this is what you get when hiring poorly trained actors for $5. 00 a day. And the script is so atrocious it had me laughing through the whole movie. Not worth watching, even for a large amount of money.

I liked this short Syfy film Scared the shit out of me though. The A level that was in charge first thought was the correct choice destroy the ship or redirect the ship to the sun's gravitational pull because of the nuclear drive.

Someone should make a fanfiction where they pick any of these universes and cross it over with star trek. I think that'd be cool to see Starfleet klingons romulan etc interact with any of the characters

Good story, nice effects, but I think they would have benefited from a few rehearsals. The actors clearly had intent and capability, but the actors seem to be operating as if it were a read through.

Maybe I'm missing some earlier stuff (was there any, but this was just too confusing to be enjoyable. technically OK but I just didn't get the plot, even if you get Cthulhu, which I do. I pass

A very thought provoking film which I think will become a cult classic among the Dust universe well done and keep making sci-fi. I give you clearance for heroic action.

Clumsy dialog. Bl; ak urban accents thousands of years in the furture And nucular I thought that the last person to say nucular was Pres. George W. Bush!
reply

This was good. until it wasnt. I liked levelism hints about future social cast, blatant militarism, mention of resistance, but Cthulhu This is beyond me.

They know the ship is abandoned, the know the ship is old. They know about nuclear power. Yet someway, SOMEHOW it is IMPOSSIBRU that it is nuclear.
reply

The actor playing the technician has the goods. Difficult to build a decent character in a short but he nailed it. Any agents out there listening

yay, a Dust movie with an actual plot and an ending that you don't have to go searching thru the comments to understand!
reply

Levelism. confirmed entitled peolpe will still be making up oppressision and pretend problems in the future.
reply

Hate to tear down what someone put a lot of effort into, but these actors didn't do the script any favors

Who cares one nuke on earth. Cthulhu is really the dumbest think I have seem apart from Ahsoka this year.
reply

I really enjoyed the story, with some decent acting from gunny and excellent special effects.
reply

The makeup on the guy in status was really good.
Don’t quiet understand the ending thou.

reply

Actually a nonsense story, a dumb station crew, and an end that was already clear at the beginning.
reply

Great little movie!
(but what is this nucular’ thing they keep talking about ; )

reply

Probably should have added an epilepsy warning to the start. The ending is a bit extreme.
reply

Interesting, but not quite up to the level of classic sci-fi such as Robot Monster!
reply

Once again, Dust’ is messing with us with nothing but teasers! Shame on Dust’!
reply

Fantastic sci-fi! Great characters, strong acting. Top notch entertainment.
