I think Biden has a handful of strong VP candidates that could do the job well, be a smart pick, and even be a capable president if needed. That said, Demings is my absolute favorite. She's charismatic, sharp, energetic, and her Floridian origin could shore up Florida votes and essentially guarantee Biden's election.

Ms Demings with her Police background would be the best person to deal with the major issue in this country - Police and criminal justice reform. Unless something came up with vetting, she should be ahead of Kamala in the shortlist. Kamala will create zero enthusiasm across any voting block for the democrats.

Did any president ever consider national polling in relation to and prior to a vice presidential nomination? I am considerably uncomfortable with a Susan Rice nomination and it would be interesting if we had a general consensus on these types of issues in the future. anyone agree?
