Defunding the police is about SHARING resources to improve housing, drug rehabilitation, parks and recreation, education, etc.
There are people who went to school and have degrees and know how to build communities. There aren't enough jobs for them
because most of the budget is used toward law enforcement.

I love this discussion. We as many black people have been desensitized to watching ourselves being murdered on TV; but, how George Floyd and others before him makes us wake up and see the wrongs being committed and how the names of the murders are not mentioned, fall invisible, while the names of the victims are burned into our memory forever! Great point.

It's funny how we have friends of other race and we never REALLY SEE them and understood their lives. That's the look on Ellen's face and others. We all can start by doing this.
