What's odd to me is people looking back at the EA releases from 97 - 2006 with actual fondness. Other than 1997 which had appeal for the commentary, to me they represent the nadir of the sport in terms of representation in the videogames industry. Typical EA, poor games, bad handling, no depth. The Geoff Crammond releases were something else, I never really enjoyed another F1 game until about F12020, and even then I still think the wheel-to-wheel collision detection is poor and immersion-breaking. Ah well. I'm glad someone liked them.

Yup, we have come a long way with F1 games. My first open wheel game was Indycar 1 by Papyrus. I now have F1 2022 in VR and is like being there in the race car and on the tracks. So much more realistic. The only thing we don't feel are the G forces the real drviers get while racing.
Times have changed in gaming.
Happy Holidays 2022.

The formel 1 version with the biggest impact was the 1982 version. Is there a console which I can play this game? I would be very happy if there would be. Thank you and greetings from RetroGameCity. -

The 2004 game looked already super realistic to me. I'm like alright we've got 20 years to go! I can't believe how far this has come. It is a real life experience since the 2000s

I guess older graphics are better than newer ones because there is no much improvement sorry if I am wrong and also all the video cut out is from amature player

Grand Prix 2 - best F1 game ever (considering state-of-the-art resources at this time)
And the best and poetical name for a F1 game is -Continental Circus-.

1996 and 97 PS1 F1 Psygnosis licensed official releases were the biggest breakthrough to 3D era. Awesome games with realistic simulation and driving controls.

funny how some games made later were worse than some earlier games. i would not even put them in a video to show evolution since its not evolution to do worse.

Funny to see how also the tracks changes. The noises of the engines, V6, V8, V10 and later V12. Not every game has the correct sound of the engine.

Fun fact: F1 2016 was first F1 game to release on android, later they remove from playstore at 2021 and replaced with F1 mobile racing.

Good Selection of F1 Games Bro in the Middle Definetly Not the End In My Opinion Because the F1 Are Way to Slow

Hey you need to update your clickbait title and thumbnail to -2023- even though the video ends with 2020.

Nice to hear the late, great, Murray Walker again, and to see the excellent Formula 1 GP from 1991 as well.
