I'm expecting the digital only ones to be very cheap, even below the build cost because consumers will be forced to buy games exclusively on their console's store. They'll make that money back really quick. Personally, I'm getting that version because I refuse to do business with the likes of GameStop and Walmart as much as possible. Plus you have the ability to download the game ahead of time when it's a pre-order, and you know what discounts are going to happen right there without the need to waste your gas on a possible scratched disc. Oh, and your games are tied to your account so you only have to worry if your console gets stolen, in which case, you can log in online and deactivate it on that console or change passwords. Sure, you may miss out on reselling your games, but you'd get ripped off on that. Might as well keep it for when you get nostalgic ten years from now and want to boot it up without buying it again.

I think Xbox will win on this pricing war. Considering Xbox one had the connect basically a home entertainment system so there money was focusing on all of those aspects. I think they understand now how there fan base wants is just a powerful gaming console. Which helps Microsoft is a software company so they will be able make it cheaper but more powerful but that-s what I think. I wish I could have learned all the news around the Xbox one when it came out I had the 360 for a year until I finally got a Xbox one. It didn-t felt like Xbox for me I hope the series x will recapture those gaming moments for me having backwards compatibility and the exclusives. I-m going to watch the July event and play the demos seeing what is going to be my full opinion

Now there is a little voice in me that's saying due to the virus and decrease in money, Sony and Microsoft will decrease the price. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT WILL ACTUALLY BE PRICED. I say both will be around 500. Even if sony or Microsoft reduce by a hundred from from either or, they still need the money to make up for their expenses. And with what has been going on in the world lately I would say that 500 is WAAAAYYY TOO MUCH for a console. Maybe before 2020, 500 would be a little bit but not too much. But obviously there's been reduced pay in jobs, let downs, pink slips, and hour reducage. This is why at first not much payments towards both console. This is just my prediction. Although I have been hearing that people are saving up Soo who knows?

A 2080ti costs $1200. An iPhone costs at least $700. People love to hear themselves complain - but either console will cost far less than any other electronic product on the market relative to the delivered capability. And both will sell out into February 2021 or beyond. My guesstimate is $500 for PS5 and Series X - with both companies relying on live service subscriptions and game sales to turn the profit until production costs drop. And remember that both companies leverage component part orders in the millions to drive down cost. The biggest winner in all this... AMD. Buy their stock now.

Although the PS5 is looking VERY promising, remember that the Series X is gonna give you Halo Infinite and the long waited Warhammer 40k FPS, Darktide. C-mon, they will be just as good, but i-ve been playing Warhammer and Halo for years, so i-m going with the Series X.

Think about it this way.. If the Xbox and ps5 cost less then your Iphone or Android, then its a steal.
I say that, because if you take care of your system it will last for many years..while your $1200 dollar Iphone has to be replaced every year.

I'm almost betting that PlayStation will pull a Xbox and announce their price first and have it be high, say $599 w/ drive. Then, Xbox will pull a PlayStation and announce their price second at a lower point, perhaps $499 w/ drive.
